I had reported this some time ago.
Dosu said there's an alias in place, and I can see it too, however the system does not apply it.
I think it's another one of those unfixable things.
It's easier to just add the translation_available tag by hand.
When done translating, I personally press the N key to exit out of note edit mode so I won't have to deal with that tag.
The aliasing hasn't been working correctly due to a bug. Right now, we're looking for someone who is good with Ruby coding to fix those bugs.

Probably a ⑨ idea but... how much would it cost to hire someone to sort out the site? I'd donate it easy to help keep the easy place easy, if it comes to that.
Will keep an eye out for friendly mister programmers that might help, regardless.
It's not realistic even as contract work. Danbooru 2, in a nutshell, is pretty much a shitshow in terms of how it's setup. There's a lot of moving parts that are different parts of the tech stack and there's no one "IT guy" fix for it. I'm a software developer by trade and I've dabbled a fair bit with servers and web dev, but danbooru is ridiculous to work with.
Some things listed off the top of my head:
1) Web: ruby on rails and whatever apache version this thing's on.
2) psql (which sucks)
3) navigating the monstrocity of danbooru's code and determining what's configuration issues and what's a bug.
4) Nothing migrates properly so we need to do clean installs every time and write migration scripts
5) Server management and general IT (VM, OS updates, UNIX familiarity, etc)
It's more or less a full stack job and we somehow miraculously have Toawa who managed to get it working, god knows I never could without significant effort.
@EasyV: If you really want logs or whatnot, I can pull it and dump it to you. I can also dump the source code of what we're currently using if you want, but it's not easy to figure out since half of the broken things are bugs and the other half is mystery.
edit: the cost is probably several thousand dollars, based off standard quotes in the industry.

Hopefully with another pair of eyes we can make light on some mysterious parts...
Though even if I want to help with all of my heart I can't make promises, so if it's troublesome for whatever reason don't feel obliged to anything.
Thing's been running till now and we're all grateful for your (the admin team's) work.
I haven't forgotten about this, just need time since it's a bit crazy (crazy busy, nothing bad) in my personal life right now.
