Compared the two scripts and put this together. I combined it with my 1.58 features list, for convenience: https://pastebin.com/hpKgNTd0

Thanks, I appreciate it. I don't know if you're aware, but the most recent version isn't 1.58, it just says that on his blog sticky because he forgot to update it. Right now the most recent version is 1.66, and new updates get posted on https://ux.getuploader.com/ennji regardless of whether he updates his blog.

Bit late to announce I guess but I'm currently working on translating 1.65b, incorporating the translation of 1.58 and fixing and updating your guys' work so far. Ehh, but I guess he released an update right after I started working on 1.65b. Meh. I'll finish 1.65 and then do 1.66. There's a lot of new dialogue just in 1.65 alone.

That’s great, the more people interested in this the better! Don’t worry about the update too much, if he doesn’t add any dialogue the old translation will work on the new version just fine.

anyone know how to get rid of mold on the yukkuri? i think thats mold, i don't know if it has actual in game effects cuz they haven't died
EDIT: NVM one died
EDIT #2: some new interactions i found, including large Reimu stomping her child to death because she was acting uneasy, and the rest backed off in horror.
as for the new stats page that you can mess around with, there's what i believe to be a relationship page with numbers representing the relationship ratings between the yukkuris. Also found out that intellegence is now seperate from the nice/gesu numbers, meaning you can have a nice but dumb yukkuri.

I was sure that was already the case since many versions.
Maybe I'm misremembering?

now it actually works seperately, before even if a yukkuri was smart, if it wasn't nice, it wouldn't even poop in the toilet set up. now even if they misbehave, they would, at the least, keep their enclosure clean.

Whenever I try and start up one of the newer versions all I get is the error message "Startup Failed". Does anyone know how to fix this?

Install applocale or change the filename

Evidently it's possible to remove the accessory of a dead yukkuri in the newer versions. Any living yukkuri then treats the dead one as sweet-sweets.

Not sure if this was asked already, maybe I missed it but, can one use the last translation archives on newer versions to at least have a half translated game?

Or it just won't work?

I'm not up to date to the newest release, but if nothing has changed then it works like this:
If the version doesn't have new dialogues, then it'll be as much translated as possible (it depends on how much the translators translated).
If it added new text, it'll break in one way or another.
Since no breakages have been reported so far, we can assume we're currently in the first case.

I gave it a shot but ver 1.71 has the dialogue remaining in Japanese fully, no halfies or 1/3, even if the patch remplaced archives.
Maybe I did something wrong or it needs some tweaking to get it to work?

And yeah, 1.58 obviously works, so I can attest that I know where the traduction should go.

Yeah, that's something we have to say again from time to time since it gets lost in the sea of messages as we post in the thread.

So with all the new features I started upadting the translation but even after replacing the file there's no change in the spoken lines. Anyone knows what's wrong?

I haven't kept up with the game, so what I know might be obsolete, but there should be another executable in the same folder.
Running it before the actual game will update the translatable text.

Actually, it seems the OP says it too, but I guess people miss it.
If GNU/Hurdz comes back he/she should make it bold or something, I guess.

Okay I found out a way, I nabbed the other executable necessary for the text update from 1.58 and copied it into 1.71, ran it and it worked.

Not sure if something isn't working on the new versions of that very executable or what, but the one that came with 1.71 just got errors, when using the 1.58, even on the 1,71 folder, it works and changes 1,71 to be semi translated.

So yeah for future reference if the newer "text updater" executable isn't working on the current version, try using the one from 1.58 alongside the translation, that should help.

Edit: Welp after many tries, my yu's always get mold, even the frigging ones that the pet shop gave me, still not sure why it happens and if there is a tool to fix it early.

Updated

Errors with the newer executable are most likely due to it checking for text headers that are nonexistent in the older scripts. As for mold, are you cleaning your yu's on a regular basis? They look darker than normal any time they're dirty, so it might be tied to that.

Hmm, I usually clean them quite often, though maybe I am missing cues of them being dirty since they lack the original fx of them getting dirty, as you said, they just get darker.

Kinda why if I pick stray or wild ones, I avoid the clearly dark or clearly infected ones since it's a blatlant red flag, I think I'll try to clean them more rigorously and see if that helps.

Hell I was wondering if it was humidity and ironically the auto cleaning toilet just made them more humid and reap for molding.

Maybe I should also try to keep a pool so they can clean themselves...though I did install one many times but they don't get into it as often, and considering it's size and space it wastes, it feels less necessary or fun to have compared to the slide, the trampoline and such.

Edit: also about the translation method, while my method allows you to use the old translation, it kinda erases whatever new lines the yu's may have, so whatever isn't translated remaines a blank if spoken by yu's, but it's not a biggie, I think they rarely use new lines and I think they actually use more lines from the old set than before. Compared to 1.58 I feel like yu's are more talkative and diverse in their speeches, while it was repetitive before.

the auto cleaning toilet makes it shoot up when it flushes, then it goes down once poop is gone, at least it's what i notice.
From my experience it's when i press the advance time too much and theres "invisible" poop that i can't clean. Probably a buggy feature for the time advance button. As for why the ones from the store would get mold, my guess is because of a bug, anything that gets added would instantly grow mold.
