Shinmyoumaru and Minamitsu are their *first* names.

So murasa yukkuri refer to themselves as minamitsu?

I'm not sure whether the yukkuri refer to themselves as Minamitsu or Murasa. They're not named in any of the pictures here.

Which has nothing to do with the tag suggestions I made:

Reasoning: consistent with use of original character's forenames for every other breed of yukkuri.

Which you seem to agree with:

Do we actually have reimu refer to herself as hakurei, or marisa as kirisame?

The following yukkuri tags are named after the original character's surname: toyosatomimi, murasa, sukuna.

It's not consistent for sure. I guess the best way is to look up some ankos to determine how the japanese community treat them, but I haven't looked them up in a really long time and would need feedback on that.

I thought about it, but i think ears + yuka generally turns them up... no need for a really specific tag but I don't mind adding it since I was thinking about it a while ago...

everyone~

I mean there's a level of granularity that we shouldn't go into for the amount of pictures we have. M1 is one of the more popular artists but we have homages to all the japanese artists and going about tagging them specifically is a lot of work.

Having one homage tag I can understand. But tagging the image with the artist being imitated is confusing me. DX

Non-rhetorical question: If you're searching with an artist tag, would you rather

a) find pictures drawn by that artist, or
b) find pictures that look like they were drawn by that artist?

a) for the most part. But I understand what you're getting at, the granularity isn't there if I want to search for images that are homage to for example, m1.

so... how do we want to fix without adding 200 new tags...

Is there a particular problem with having more tags? I mean, we have literally HUNDREDS of anko tags. If someone draws a picture in the style of another artist, or wants to search for images in the style of a particular artist, then it's a simple matter of substituting homage_(<artist_name>) (or whatever), just like we already do with anko<number>.

Might be a problem for dosus doing mass-rename of artist tags... but there's still only two possibilities...

also like the idea, and I appoint danogoat as master fixer... if not fix by end of day will punish...

What would be easiest to read?

homage_(<name>)
<name>_(homage)
homage_to_<name>
...

Assuming you were being serious, of course... >_>

That's to link the pictures to a specific anko story; they're more like artist tags than random tags, and they also link the pics to their wiki entries. With homage, it's usually fairly clear who's homaging whom.
