Does a screen full of danmaku really count as non-violent?

    Anonymous

This must explain why Subterranean Sun is so easy for a final spell card: There's an Utsukurri (or whatever they're called) controlling it!

    Anonymous

Well we all know Utsuho's iconic spell card is Hell And Heaven Meltdown, not Hell's Artificial Sun.

(Also, people tend to use the Normal difficulty names for most cards. It's more normal(hurrrrrrrrrrr).)

    Anonymous

But if you're an actual player and can play on lunatic, it makes more sense to use the highest difficulty (besides, this image really is using Subterranean Sun judging by its thickness).

Like, which sounds cooler: Red Magic or Scarlet Gensokyo?

    Anonymous

Not to mention that her real iconic spell card is Nuclear Fusion (or lunatic: Uncontrollable Nuclear Reaction).

    Anonymous

"Not to mention that her real iconic spell card is Nuclear Fusion (or lunatic: Uncontrollable Nuclear Reaction)."

I have never met anyone who challenged Hell And Heaven Meltdown.

Iconic isn't hardest; it's the one that clearly identifies with them and reflects them as a character (and their powers). Utsuho (at least, Nuclear Utsuho) is a straightforward and high-power showoff, so HAHM, with its huge fuckoff stars, obviously connects to her.
Not to mention it's the sheer coolest.

"Like, which sounds cooler: Red Magic or Scarlet Gensokyo?"

Coolness is not the factor (in naming).
    Familiarity is.
Most people don't play Lunatic (MOST play Easy, how terrible), but most people who play Lunatic cleared the lower difficulties.

Whatever; Subterranean Sun and Hell's Artificial Sun are similar enough, really.

But people who play easy don't see Remilia period. :p

Hell's Tokamak (sounds cooler IMO and you can't stop me) looks pretty cool, but Uncontrollable Nuclear Reaction is the one that makes you go "WHAT THE SHIT?" the most, the first time she simply fires a screen consuming bullet at you. And yeah, it's her hardest.

    "Hell's Tokamak (sounds cooler IMO"

How does Hell's Tokamak sound cooler than HELL AND HEAVEN MELTDOWN, honestly?
Hell And Heaven Meltdown is probably the coolest spell card name ever.

"but Uncontrollable Nuclear Reaction is the one that makes you go "WHAT THE SHIT?" the most, the first time she simply fires a screen consuming bullet at you."

I have never had this happen to me (as I've only managed to reach Utsuho on Easy where all the stars shrink), so I don't know. HAHM just has the mindblowing with the 2 ultrastars.

    "And yeah, it's her hardest."

Difficulty =/= iconic attack. Marisa's iconic attack is the Master Spark, but Master Spark/Double Spark are not her hardest cards in IN. (It might be arguable that Final Spark is, but that's technically an unrelated card.)

I can't reach Utsuho on hard without continuing (but then again my crappy computer keeps me from trying for a 1cc), but it sure makes me feel doomed everytime I look at it.

And "Hell and Heaven Meltdown" is far from the coolest sounding spell card. Lessee...

    Scarlet Gensokyo
    Ressurection Butterfly
    Phantasm. Foam. Shadow.
    Border of Life and Death
    Legend of Gensokyo
    Invisible Full Moon
    Rising World
    Fujiyama Volcano
    Hourai Doll
    Emperor of the East
    Fantasy Heaven
    Paschal Moon-reflecting Satellite Slash
    Flawless Nirvana
    Mountain of Faith
    Virtue of Wind God
    Subterranean Sun

And I'm sure there are more.

You know, I think I found out why I like yukkuri. Anyone discussing it usually has far too much time on their hands, so sometimes you get some pretty tangential but cool discussions.

(this is the anon that uploaded it, BTW)
I figured that since there wasn't any particularly gruesome abuse in this pic that it didn't necessarily need to be tagged as violent. Eh, people can sort it as they choose, I just didn't want to have it as 'tagme' forever.

Also 'Tokamak' is such a weird word, but it's so fun to say.

It's a bit late, but I forgot to mention (second anon BTW) that "Hell and Heaven Meltdown" is a slightly cacophonic name. It just doesn't ring that well with me.

    "Scarlet Gensokyo
    ...
    Subterranean Sun"

None have the power behind them that "Hell and Heaven Meltdown" has, short of "Border of Life and Death", which I also hold to be a downright awesome spell card name.

    Honestly; it's a spell card signifying the omni-apocalypse, taking Heaven and Hell with it. It fits Utsuho well, most particularly with her quote;
"My ultimate nuclear fusion will burn up every body, heart, ghost, and youkai!",
as Body can relate to Rin's job of corpses (Hell), Heart can relate to souls (Heaven and Xanadu), Ghost can relate to the Netherworld, and Youkai clearly relates to Gensokyo.
    Absolute destruction, cho.

"It's a bit late, but I forgot to mention (second anon BTW) that "Hell and Heaven Meltdown" is a slightly cacophonic name. It just doesn't ring that well with me."

Well, it's the apocalypse. Unless you're having a Rapture/Judgment Day cataclysm, the apocalypse is not supposed to be calm.

Calling something cacophonic is derogitory no matter what context it is. Maybe it'd be better if it was "Heaven and Hell Meltdown", but "Hell and Heaven" just sounds wrong.

...I can't believe I'm having this conversation on a yukkuri imageboard.

(What, do you not like GaoGaiGar?)

Yes, Heaven and Hell sounds better, but it's a chaotic card. Utsuho isn't the divine Angel of Death, she's the lunatic bringer of absolute destruction. It's her iconic attack, and it's an absolute breakdown. Cacophony is what it's made for, cho.

    Anonymous

Hard to call it chaotic when it's not that hard a card~

THE EARTH RUMBLES AND THE STARS COME DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS TO DANCE WITH MEN
THE SECOND SUN AND HIS BRETHREN COME TO BURN THE WORLD!
IA! IA! CTHUGHA THE UNCAGEABLE FIRE! HE COMES TO BURN THE WORLD!

... Of course, Cthugha was made by Derleth, and we all know Derleth is never to be mentioned.

    Milez

    looking pretty mirrored there utsuho
