  • I watched the french cartoon adaptation of the novel Ivanhoe when I was younger and the scene where the crazy old lady set fire to the castle while cackling 50 years , 50 years has always amused me. Back then I did not know why she suddenly set fire to the castle but I and my sister would mock each other pretending to be as unhinged as the crone while we mimic the voice.

It took me several years before I actually read the novel and I learned why she did what she did. The scene, to me, no longer feels like an out of place scene to become an object of mockery -_-

Hope I am not out of line when I say this, but it seems like your skill/image quality is varied. I only point it out, since I notice that with myself. Perhaps it haa to do with perspective or something?
I just noticed that a recent pic that took you an hour to do looked really good, and the perspective was a front-facing one of the subject.

It is more an expression thing. I can do smug/arrogant great but I am poor at crazy. I can do fidgety well enough but I cannot do scared very well. I suck at crying and just so so at angry.

I also employ different drawing styles depending on my mood: 1) Anime style 2) Western cartoon style 3) sprite graphics style 4) Parodying other artists' style (which often ends in failure -_-).

Another is the eye styles I employ: 1) Gesu-aki style 2) Kiriraitaa-esque style 3) Miata style (non-yukkuri artist and more.

What is consistent about my work is that I cannot do clean curved and straight lines because the program I often use is ideal for pixel art but not much else. That and I cannot do clean curves and lines even when drawing them on paper (it might be something to do with how my brain handles motor functions that require finesse).
