I love that artists have started showing those off.

This one is quite disheveled compared to the one in the car. Are they not the same or are the pictures unrelated?

It is surprisingly durable; to be able to withstand few blows of punches with only a quarter of health lost

Wow, it shrank. Just like in Yukkuri Diary.

I wish. From the translated text, it's just a mini-Dosu. A mini-boss, if you will.

About the "Dosu" thingy, how smart are they?

Hold on. There's only one yukkuri in this drawing, but there are "koyukkuri" and "dosuyukkuri" tags. This is new to me.

Does this mean Dosu can have offsprings and their koyukkuri would be larger than normal yukkuri?

    Is this new in lore?

Depends. They may be either dumb enough to chase after their lost hats and subsequently get lead into hazardous areas (Aglet's Dosu story), or smart enough to cause governmental bodies to classify them as public enemies (Canttakiteasy's stories).

Well, Canttakiteasy's yukkuri are so surreal that I want to gorge on my heart.
He made rare-type yukkuri become popular, but also made them dangerous or uneasy at the same time.

Regarding the lore about dosus' offsprings, I've read a certain anko story called Huge Maricha or something, which is about a Marisa being born from a dosu. It's just a normal Marisa, but due to the plentiful nutrition provided by its dosu parent, from birth it's already been the size of an adult yukkuri. However, this doesn't mean that it's a ko-dosu - true to the story's name, it's just a huge (ko)Marisa due to its bountiful source of nutrition during pregnancy, and a privileged food supply because of its reputation as the child of its clan's head. Physiologically, ever since birth it has reached the developmental stage of adulthood (its growth limit) and stopped growing further, but due to its misconception of its assured ascension into a dosu, it perceived its current state as childhood/adolescence, and gets mentally stuck as a koyukkuri (hence the "koMarisa" above with "ko" in parentheses).

In this anko's setting which may also be true elsewhere, dosus don't give birth to ko-dosus, their offsprings are only normal yukkuris; and the (abysmally low) chance of becoming the next dosu is evenly distributed to all those in a community, not just limited to the children of one.

So in other words, what we're seeing here in this post may just be a normal adult yukkuri, which mistakes itself for a ko-dosu, and such a mentality causes it to talk in slurred speech, behave like an overgrown kid, etc. The tag #dosuyukkuri was merely given due to the yukkuri's self-proclaimed status as one, and may not reflect its true nature.

How many explanations are there regarding the "Dosufication"?

    EasyV

For what is worth, a really really old (something like 2011) comic by remiryaaki has a Reimu being pregnant with a Dosu, becoming the clan's princess.
But then a different Dosu comes to take the clan somewhere else, and Reimu is abandoned because she can't walk due to her Dosu child.
