Quick question: are the Utsuhos not radioactive or explosion-prone in this setting? Otherwise, miss is gonna have a nasty surprise waiting for her in a few years.

Considering the author said this:

I didn't know about the rarity of wasas, i just wanted to draw (and abuse) one!
it would not surprise me the author does not know or care like 9th and the other special snow flakes assigning additional weaknesses and nerfs willy nilly with little or no regard to what was previously depicted. Or it could be a deliberate attempt to irritate people that care about what made the characters distinct in the first place.

holy shit so cruel and smart
What's so smart about this? A sub 50 iq individual with self control issues can pull this off easily.
After escaping from Gensokyou, yukkuri lost any power they had.
I had an idea for a fanfic story about the Great Hakurei Barrier weakening over time, with yukkuri being the first (and currently only aside from certain youkai) entities able to pass through with ease. Thus explaining how yukkuri were able to colonize and thrive in our world.
After escaping from Gensokyou, yukkuri lost any power they had.
Considering there are many early stories where yukkuris are around at the very least the Middle Roman Republic age, that might not be the case. Unless Gensoukyou has a weird spatio-temporal anomaly going on where things coming out of the barrier can go back in time hundreds of thousands of years in the past (might even be a million if a stone age depiction actually existed which I recall somehow but cannot seem to find on this site anymore)
---------------- Not to toot my own horn but I have a unfinished story that tried to explain why this is so and why there are so many variations to yukkuri abilities of the seemingly same type. It also explains why some yukkuri appear so dumb and why some of the weird abilities of yukkuris exist (I am not talking about their powers). It explains why and how yukkuri existed and discusses the in-universe lore of the collective fanon and throws jabs at the psychology of the would be antagonists.
That story was titled "what was may come again" and it should be fairly obvious how the story would unfold at certain parts. However, I was overwhelmed with the amount of real life stuff I had to deal with that I kept procrastinating. There are, admittedly, a few plot holes but that was not really one of the main reasons why I have misgivings in accelerating the production of pages (art quality being a major factor obviously).

@boom Nah i don't want them to have that kind of ability. I just want them to think they can cause nuclear explosion, but they actually just regular majyuus. (Just like shithead yus think they can enslave human) Seriously guys, this is just a comic about nailing yukkuri to public bench.. no need to overthink this kind of thing..

You're absolutely right. Since yukkuries were created for us to make fun of them, and eventually abuse them for laugh and giggle, I wish to see them ALWAYS remain a fragile talking pastry, I hate seeing them having other special abilities that could deter us human from stepping on them or even outright kill us (the ridiculous Dosu and their Spark).

Sure, why not? You know, Yukari's shady magic from a Moriya conspiracy and all that. And that's without considering whatever Okina might be up to.
