A bit silly? A BIT SILLY?!?, at a loss for words here.
Im honestly getting tired of this apparently "superior" organization, mentality, resources and why not, luck, that this ragtag of yukkrui are experiencing, the few victims squashed by their own stupidity in the past strip was not enough for me.
Wish the plot would thicken faster and someone would get some retribution coming at him/her.
Creticus said: Why do I get the feeling that the popular Marisa is a slaver?
I can't think of any other reason to separate the mothers and their children from the rest of the herd. I'm sure infinite resources Marisa could summon enough suii to carry everyone if that served her purposes.
I notice that koreimu and the suii riding yukkuri have the same >:3 expression.
My thoughts were more along the lines of why the slavers were covered earlier in the story and how well that fit with the assumption that this is going to end very, very badly for these yukkuri.
For some reason I'm imagining that somehow Father Marisa will be train herself to be the worlds best yukkuri martial artist and embark on a quest to rescue her wife and adopted daughter ... and then get stepped on by a pedestrian while still searching for the slaver's nest.
Popular Marisa being a slaver makes much more sense than the things I guessed earlier.
I also think the same, be Popular Marisa is one of the Three GAY brothers Marisa that they handle the black market YukKuri, that thinking about how to increase the profit that they obtain of Pet Yukkuris attracted all the koyukuris and mothers to have fresh goods, but this level of intelligence to develop such a sophisticated plan, with logistic and good coordination amazes me, it is as if the Yukkuris only could think intelligently to harm.
at this point one would not surprise that the Mafia Marissa they were not working with Hood "Amon" Abuser and his band, they remain with the Kós and rest of Yu's for the anons

Wow this is brilliant. And everything makes a lot of sense with this explanation (an explanation that doesn't involve a sympathetic/trolling anon, that is).

Under the direction of Popular Marisa, everyone arrived in the park. Popular Marisa told everyone that members of the herd would come to welcome them. First they should rest a bit in the park.Under the moonlight, the yukkuris moved along the darkened streets. Little Reimu huddled atop Mother Reimu's head. Even though she couldn't see very clearly, she could hear the noise of the great masses. For Little Reimu, it seemed like Dosu was right in front of her eyes. Not long after, several suiis drove into the park. The driver Marisa on the lead suii yelled out: "New members of the herd! Hurry and get on the suiis to be taken home!"
The arrival of the suiis excited the yukkuris greatly. The yukkuris that had once been strays were even more impressed. To them, suiis were completely unobtainable things, but now they were being allowed to ride on them. Everyone became even more determined to "return to Dosu's side."Popular Marisa climbed onto a planter in order to address the yukkuris about the suiis. Because there weren't enough suiis to go around, the yukkuris would have to be ferried in groups.
According to Popular Marisa, Dosu's orders were that the mothers and little ones in the herd should go onto the suiis first.
Even though many of the yukkuris were disappointed, the majority of Mother yukkuris, Koyukkuris, and Baby Yukkuris were very pleased. And so, these mothers and daughters boarded the suiis in order to begin their journey.
