Oh, I love this artist. His yukkuri are SO torturable. I'd like to say that annoying little shit deserved it, but "deserve" has got nothing to do with it. :3
I fail to see how giving something candy, then stabbing it is teaching anything. Also, If the owner thinks they're annoying, then why the hell would he bother buying/caring for a Reimu and feed it candy? Answer: He's an asshole who has a much worse nature than that of the yukkuri
look at the comic again. He says "no no" after the "munch munch", so it has everything to do with "disciplining" and "teaching".
And aren't you assuming a bit too much about the guy? Maybe its his job to discipline yukkuris so they can be sold at pet stores. No context etc, you people just assuming everyone abuses yukkuris for no reason.
@cowpies Your analogy doesn't make any sense at all. I think its annoying as hell when my cat scratches on my door in the middle of the night, or starts growling at the wall, or starts meowing loudly in the middle of the night. But that doesn't make it less of a cuddly companion any other time. The fraction of the time its annoying doesn't detract from its overall pet values. Same with this yukkuri, so your "why the hell would he bother buying/caring for a Reimu" comment makes absolutely no sense at all.
Same with dogs. Annoying as hell when you're busy and can't play with it but its dragging your pants for attention. What about when it accidentally breaks something? Annoying as well, but I still feed him dog treats when he does something good and scold him when he does something bad. Are you going to look at the fraction of the time I'm disciplining my dog and say "god that guy is such an asshole, why is he keeping a dog if he's mean to it all the time?"
So don't get annoyed when you have absolutely no context to work on. Your life is a very miserable one if you think everybody is an asshole.
he meant annoying in general, as in ppl who only like yukkuris when they suffer and such, they find them, besides other possible things, annoying
and i understand something else under scolding then stabing the yukkuri with a stick or would you put a stick in the cat's/dog's head when it was bad ?
if he were unlucky, the yukkuri would have been wasted now(core damage) so i hardly doubt its his "job" to disciplin yukkuris
I don't see how you can understand the analogy, since nowhere did the comic say the owner thought the yukkuri was annoying. If he didn't care about it, why would he buy candy for it, then get pissed when it eats nosily? If wanted to stab the thing to death he can do it very easily. Also, kiritaita doesn't do anything with core filling so that's not a concern.
I don't want to get into the proper way of disciplining your pet, but to put this "job" thing into reference, there's been a few fanfics that refer to how "professional trainers" for yukkuris work. This just describes one of the methods.
