Those cupboards look slanted downwards. The architect and artist need practice on those. It be horrible if something fell out but luckily for the poor miko there's nothing importance in there to fall out.
I dunno... The most obvious indicator of the cupboard's orientation is the lower line of the fume hood over the stove. However, if you look just under Reimu's ribbon, there's a slight bend in that line, so it looks like the fume hood is angled upward. Thus, the cupboards might only look like they're angled downward relative to the fume hood.
It's funny how these architectural pics get in; I don't know what other attraction this image could have.
