How do I check the amount of traffic this site receives?

I am curious just how much visitors OYP still gets and from where the visitors mostly come from.

You can probably use one of those countless counter/tracking websites, but their reliability is suspect

Well I wanted to ask those with admin tools because according to this
https://www.easycounter.com/report/yukkuri.shii.org only 521 people on average view it per day. I know that in the past there was this thread
http://oyp.yunyah.com/forum_topics/7072 and there was probably around 6000 views per day.

I am really curious if it is true that taiwan is actually where most of the visitors come from.

Reading the topic you linked (you might want to read the dtext wiki page!), it seems those numbers were because OYP was the only yukkuri archive around (I'm imagining poweryoga laughing at us for our ignorance of the site history, I know I would do it :P) so people flocked here to get what they missed
Since now both 2chan and pixiv have their own archive, it's very likely those 521 are just westerners (or taiwaneses)

nah. Most of the visitors here are japanese + chinese/taiwanese. I'm too lazy to pull up the traffic breakdown but something like 75% of the traffic on this site is japanese last I checked, with a minor few from SEA and the rest scattered across US + europe.

We receive traffic only because we're the only image hosting site still around. That's really all.

Does that mean the Japanese have their own forum here? Or are they kinda looking at us like a zoo. Kinda when you travel through Amish country, you point and stare.

From the traffic breakdown it's hard to say. I can see unique visitor counts but this site doesn't have analytics to see what the visitors are doing. I haven't visited the JP forums in forever but last I went, most of the vocal posters were fairly hostile towards us re-uploading artist images (it's theft!), while also retaining the largest visit ratio. I imagine the vocal minority has moved on and most of them just accepted this site as sort of an image archive/storage.

The site supports unicode so anybody can post asian languages but you know how it is, japanese folks tend to stick to the BBS sites.

And they don't like gaijins, even if we credit the original artists. It's not really theft, it's just archiving, but, well... gaijins.
