"Some animals will only understand pain because they believe they are the leaders and masters of your home, do not anthropomorphize your animals and try to treat them like they are one of your kids, they are going to eat your face one of these day. I had several dogs since I was a kid, I treated him humanely but I never expected him to show anything towards me besides loyalty and obedience. A dog that uses violence to get his way can only be either put down or handled roughly so that he learns he is not your master and that he is not leading".
