No, mandarin is the fruit (topic #11269). There is a "mandarin orange" tag, but it should be unified with "mandarin".
I'm aware that technically Wikipedia lists it as "mandarin orange", but its name is still "mandarin".
If you don't like it, think of it as how Danbooru has "microwave" instead of "microwave_oven" (topic #11312), even if I still believe that Danbooru is wrong.
Mandarin-the-language should be tagged either "mandarin_(language)" or "mandarin_(chinese)", at which point we can implicate "chinese" and put it under meta; so if anyone with free time could go through all the pics tagged mandarin and tag appropriately, that would be great.

I will tag mandarin-the-fruit with mandarin, then, and delete the mandarin_orange tag.

For now, I will tag posts that previously had the mandarin-the-language tag to mandarin_(chinese).

This discussion certainly warrants more discussion: all Chinese dialects use the same writing system, and the only difference is in the way they are pronounced, meaning that Mandarin is not (for our purposes) distinguishable from other Chinese dialects. Should we tag mandarin-the-language as simply chinese?

The mandarin_(chinese) tag is only used by pool #27, anyway; all the other Chinese images use the chinese tag.

I think where appliable they should be differentiated.
Think of it as an aide for translators.

That said, can you guarantee that the list of languages you posted earlier is the full list of all the non-english languages currently tagged on the site?

Practically? No.

Mutur Zikin has written quite a comprehensive list of languages, but it would take me tremendous time to manually search all of them, not to include the various spelling differences (e.g. the Taana language is spelt Taana in the list but thaana here) and dialects, to the point where going through all the tags or posts would be quicker.
