New artist! Looking for tips!

Hello, everyone. I, Mariodante, am teaming up with a good friend of mine who is a very skilled cartoon artist. I will be making storyboards and dialogue and he will be drawing everything. We really want to start making plenty of Yukkuri comics, and I am a huge fan myself, so I have come asking everyone to give me some input for authenticity's sake. Please, tell me as much as you can about what you feel are norms to Yukkuri as well as what you hope to see in the future/what you like to see in comics.

Right now we're planning on doing a lot of your atypical Reimu/Marisa stories that will be terribly cute and then terribly sad, as well as some new types of Patchouli comics because I think she is the most adorable of them all. We also want to incorporate some comics involving a lot of the Factory, but we plan on keeping the Factory very secretive in nature and never describe it in full detail, but only show some areas producing certain types of Yukkuri and such. Thank you all for your future contributions, and we hope things are a success. If things go very well, we will see about selling our comics at local American cons.

I don't think you need much advice, since you've already got a plan and everything. For more guides, I guess a look at some of the popular stories (check the recent entries in the pool and the home page of the wiki for some links) would be helpful.

as for tips, there isn't really a yukkuri canon. the only established facts are they're manjuus, their catchphrase is take it easy, and they're based off touhou characters.

Ah yes, I understand, I was just hoping to get some input from other fans. Well, if you guys all really say just roll with it, then I'll just roll with it. I've got the general background of how at least Reimu, Marisa, Alice, Patchouli and Remilia roll.

Do not fall victim to the fraudulent "kimeemaru" propaganda! It is a well known scientific fact that the yukkuri versions of Pure and Honest Shameimaru are the most beautiful.

Look around Touhou fandom for the fanon character personality and then exaggerate it to several notches up.

If you're doing scum characters, look around for really annoying stereotype of selfish peoples you want to punch in the face for a start.

What sort of feedback are you looking for? Biology? Behaviors?

If you have a storyboard and want to roll with it, I'm sure many of us on the boards will be glad to proof read. Actually we used to use the yukkuri fanfic groups for that purpose, but its dried up a bit as of late.
