So i'm pretty to new yukkuris. I guess I missed the height of the popularity, but I was wondering is this site at all affiliated with the wiki? Seems like its largely one person over there. I know we have a wiki here too though less detailed I guess you could say.

nah, nobody has anything to do with that. also the information there is old as hell, and contradicts a lot of the "yucanon" thats been piled all these years. Its a ghost town.

The wikia has most of the facts made up by 1 person who basically wrote whatever he wanted and edited out other people's information, including but not limited to any new developments from the japanese community discussions and tidbits. It also heavily edited out any abuse oriented stuff, including anything about rapist alices.
The wikia is so outwardly hostile that nobody wanted anything to do with it, and we all just decided that the information there is useless.
Yeah it's some dude's personal internet cave. A forgotten bit of flotsam amongst the vast sea that is wikia. An interesting read, but by no means an accurate resource OR a community.

Sort of curious to know who this guy is and if he has an account here.
His canon is an interesting read, fair amount of depth.
I'm sure he knows about the site, pretty much anybody that's in the english community will know about us.
He's got a good thing going at the wikia and that's cool. Let's leave it at that.

I just like how we're arguing accuracy to fact on a topic that's a fandom of a fandom.
About three years ago, there was a fair bit of overlap in communities between this site and that wiki. It kinda died out, between massive flamewars, and that was also the time that Wikia decided (for reasons still inexplicable to this day) to make their site completely horrible to use.

Nothing's the gospel truth in yukkuri. "Canon" just means what everyone generally "agrees" on. Like I said, it's still a very interesting read.

The Japanese community know about OYP, the yukkuri image dump/archive website. :D
Although some don't like us either because of the re-uploading or the ads.

Well I was just thinking about it and has anyone else tried to a start a new community wiki? I know we have the little on here on the site, but it would be nice to have something more in depth to collect everyone's headcanon and such.
