I currently just began drawing yukkuri though, I'm trying to find a good style but also might be a bit easy to replicate. The ones I create are absolutely crap. Seriously it's a ball with a hat and eyes how do I screw such a thing up!. So I'm wondering if there is any styles you might recommend me to try.

OK, I need some help actually drawing from people who actually draw. Something simple like Reimu's and Marisa's. Something like simple yukkuri drawing lessons.
I'm not entirely certain on what to suggest to you since I don't know how well you usually draw without a reference. Some people usually just incorporate other artist styles into their own to make it easier for themselves to draw and/or to make their artwork more appealing to the general populace.
You can trace as Yandere suggested. A good way to practice is to do that and try to learn and understand how to draw it again without tracing. Or just try out every style you like until you find one that clicks with you the best. You just have to practice alot. Always have to practice alot. Just look at Parsee (´・ ω・`)But seriously look at Danogoat. He's come ways and draws really good now.
If you're the type of person who don't get it in the first try you have to keep doing it again and again until you do.
::Edit::Alternately you can stop by Friday Night during our Pixiv Chat and talk and draw (either mouse or just on paper though we would not be able to see the latter) with us.
I can't say I'm still all that good at drawing yukkuris, so you should take my advice with a grain of salt, but one thing you can do to improve your faces is to draw guide lines that follow the contour of the yukkuri ball, and then draw the faces oriented based on that, instead of staring straight forward. It can help the yukkuris look more spherical.
Buri is best...
On a more serious note: once you start drawing more you'll move into your own unique style. Most people that start drawing will copy a style of an artist they like, then eventually move away from it once they're comfortable enough with how to draw the thing they want. But like TOG said, you need to practice a lot. I don't draw very often (maybe once a week) and it shows in my drawings with the lack of progression and all. :3

just click the link when they come up. The chatrooms have timers on them so they won't stay open.
I think it's because Yukkuri are so simple that they're difficult to draw. If you're having a hard time you could do what I did...Take it easy!! No, really. Do it slowly, and gradually figure out what you're doing. Maybe start out with really simple drawings to get the hang of it and then gradually start doing more detailed ones.
Just practice a lot and you'll get it eventually!
I personally like kiriraitaa, but shibumarisa-aki does good work, too. The former has a very distinct style that's a little harder to replicate, but the latter does drawings that can be relatively complex without being super detailed.
Suiso, Kiri, Murayu Aki, Yukkuri Jenga, Rorinko, and Shitai maybe?
Suiso and Murayu Aki's yus, I guess it's very easy to copy but it's easy for ppl to think you're copying thier works because their style are too characteristic.
If you are lucky or talented, you will find your own stlyle very quick and draw well.

Or just don't try to copy artists. Try to draw a yukkuri without any artist's influence and see how it turns out, then see what you need to improve on.
I'm a writer, not an artist. But if you want a tip on drawing these 'balls with hats', recognize that they're not perfectly round. Gravity has an effect, and depending on the artist, it goes from being more oval-like, to being more like an oval trapezoid.
