Someone please incorporate Sheep Marisa: post #61855

I believe that's the current limit of the game, unless someone's willing to go a step further and program a state beyond that, sorta like Platinum.

On that note, the badge system still doesn't work correctly. I can only dispense fake and bronze badges.

Nothing was actually coded in for hte upper level badges, the lower level ones were just being used for testing. Dont expect most of the newer menu items in that release to function well, if at all, it was just an internal wip is all.

Geh, sorry for taking forever to respond, but I still can't seem to get the Shitaraba version in the OP to run. I've tried right clicking and running with Java, and even then it still doesn't seem to do anything. Is there a way to 'make' the .jar an executable?

So A couple of things first off the version you trying to run is the one listed under "Current Edition" correct? the one that once downloaded is named "SimYukkuriHiatus"? Secondly what OS are you on (I skimmed over the last couple pages but didn't see you listing it anywhere, sorry if I missed it)? Does the file list it self as "SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" or as something else?

A couple of options assuming Windows OS and in particular Win7 and the SimYukkuri version listed under Current Edition is the one in question.

- Setup for all options; Download a fresh copy of "SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" then follow the steps bellow

1. If the file shows as anything other than "SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" (eg. "SimYukkuriHiatus.zip") then the first step is to rename it to "SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" if this fails skip to option 2, if the file only shows "SimYukkuriHiatus" with no extension than do the following;

- Go to Control Panel
- Up in the top right there is a drop down box beside "View By" select "Category"
- Select System and Security
- Select "Appearance and Personalization" on the left hand side
- Click "Folder Option", a small options menu should pop up with two tabs along the top
- Click View
- In the "Advanced Settings" area look for an option listed as "Hide Extensions for Known File Types"
- Uncheck the box beside "Hide Extensions for Known File Types"
- Hit Apply down in the bottom right
- Now go back and check the file "SimYukkuriHiatus" you should see an extension now
- The follow the advice preceding this part

2. Manually Executing a Jar File via CMD (This Method should work on any windows with java installed). A generalized video can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUjcqnWbOJo

- Move the "SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" to the desktop (ie. outside any folder)
- Click the start button
- Click All Programs
- Click Accessories
- Click "Command Prompt" a black box should pop up
- Type "cd desktop" and hit enter (do not put in the quotation marks)
- Type "java --jar SimYukkuriHiatus.jar" (do not put in the quotation marks) and hit enter
- If there is an Error or nothing continues to happen make another post, there are other options.

Holy crap, thanks! That worked!

Also it's probably been asked before, but I heard 'tang' is for food preference, but what is 'complacency'?

Hi, I have recently started playing simyukkuri and so far have enjoyed it. I have encountered a few problems but most of them are bearable/understandable. The biggest problem I have seems to be that the yukkuri that the auto-feeder "corpse" sends me vanish from the game after dead. It does not matter how long it lived or how it died it just vanishes leaving hunngry remilia and flandres.

I am also confused, are marisas supposed to grow into dosu or be replaced by dosus? And what do the dosu do in the game anyway? Are they just bigger, rarer marisas?

They're supposed to vanish after dying and dosu marisa doesn't really serve any purpose.

Complacency is morale. The lower it is, the scummier the yukkuri.

Really, this game needs a "pet" feature. Sometimes I want to calm my nice yukkuris after they stupidly and retardadly banging through a wall.

Who do you get other options then default when you start up the program?

Not sure what you're asking, here. Could you clarify this a little bit?

I think what he means is selecting menu items on the start page. Other than screen size, I've not been able to choose other options, so I presume they're disabled. Not like it affects gameplay, anyway.

There is a background theme, item theme and yukkuri theme. I think all three of those could affect gameplay, if only by changing what is seen.

I can't seem to find the actual file to start the game in the download for the most recent version? Is it in there and I'm just looking in the wrong spot, or is it not in there?

The SHITARABA edition works, that's what I have been playing. I don't know anything about the OYP edition.

The .jar is the executable itself no unzip/decompress/un-archiving required but you do require Java installed. Refer to my earlier post on this page ( forum #9222 ) for general help.

Is it just me or do rare type yukkuri cause a lot more lag then common types?
Rare types have ended a few simyukkuri runs, and not just because there are a lot of them on the field; Rather the slow down linger even after the yukkuri is sold causing java to crash.

I know people have complained about the stalk births being a death sentence for mother and children and complacency.

Things I found out: Stalk births are kill because the mother sleeps normally and doesn't wake up for hunger, which means, even when right next to the food, the hunger rate outstrips the sleep timing, kos die, then she dies as she takes damage.

Also, when the mother goes to a bed to stalk birth kos, she won't go eat. The process is too long, and they all starve and die. I've seen one ko make it through a bunch of stalk births--quite a few died because they themselves were too damaged from lack of food, and the fall from the stalk splatted them.

Complacency seems to start out with "=" next to it. When you greet them, it gets a "+", but nothing changes. If you greet a shithead that says you can't be trusted, it gets a "-" or a "-+", then subtracts a certain amount. Same thing with punishment. Seems like the "+" aspect isn't adding its value, despite being displayed. I'd also wager that since the "+" stays displayed after showing up once, there's some sort of hangup in the code between displaying "+", adding the value, and removing the "+". The process for the minus seems to be:

1)action received
2)"-" added
3)about a .5s delay
4)subtract the value (this is done in a "counting down" fashion rather than simply instantly changing the number)
5)"-" removed

This is for all of them, Supershits through Nice.

This is useful for coders. For players: Stalk birth is death sentence, and your yukkuri will never like you.
