Ok so from what I've seen, santa hat is back, as is kotatsu and trash bag

and apparently so is angel wings and halo. And a new one, balloon.

Are they all able to be taken home and/or interacted with, and found in the park/ruin? The balloon ones I found in the weird areas can't be clicked or anything.

It's possible, I got them from the vending machine actually. They aren't the hot air balloon types, but just regular old balloons.

Neat! I always liked kotatsu Marisa.

e: Ah, he updated Android to x.04. PC is still just x.

Updated

In the Android version (PC has not updated again since x), the fruit hats are also back. I've seen red/green/yellow versions, just like the ones in Breeding/Observation.

Anons in the /jp/ yukkuri thread have been playing with the ingame calendar, and apparently some hat types only show in certain seasons. Santa/kotatsu when it's cold (kotatsu is unaffected by cold), bunny/frog when it's warm.

Hey that was me!

It seems it's more of a month to month basis type of thing rather than seasonal dependent. There are a few months that are very similar to one another. Here's the full list, it should be somewhat accurate.

  • January - Bunny ears/kotatsu
  • Febuary - Bunny ears/kotatsu
  • March - Bunny ears
  • April - Bunny ears
  • May - Bunny ears
  • June - Frog ears/umbrella
  • July - Sun hat
  • August - Sun hat
  • September - Three Fruits
  • October - Three Fruits
  • November - Kotatsu/santa
  • December - Kotatsu/santa

Independent of month - bag/wings/balloon

In all of this testing I think I discovered one cause of the hyper fast yukkuri glitch. If you're holding 5 yu's, and then pick up another, the one that drops out of your hand will bug out. Not sure if this was known or not.

Ah that makes sense, my emulated game is still in October so all I've seen are fruit hats and the independent ones.

Hopefully he updates the PC version soon, though, I don't really like Android emulation, it's fickle.

Willing to bet it'll be in a future update.

Not sure, but he did un-private his Youtube again, so hopefully all's well.

Having YouTube vids of my own, I'm willing to bet whoever threatened him with going to Google also prolly flagged his vids and forced him to take em down til YouTube figured out it was a bogus claim. Had some of my vids flagged just cuz some asshole thought I shouldn't be able to make music vids using footage from kingdom hearts and took it on himself to do a copyright flag.

Ah, so that's why I haven't seen any new hats in PC.

Welp, the next update apparently is on December 31st, Bluesnow uploaded a video and not only will cows be added but finally a shop will be added.

Looks like some aesthetic changes as well, more room at the house, and yukkuri get dirty.

Also I noticed the sparkles on some yukkuri, maybe to show when they're at max happiness or something?

Not quite getting what the cow is for save attacking yukkuri, though.

Well, a small test update hit, sparkling yukkuri are niceheads and shitheads don't sparkle. Cow is transportation? Haven't seen any attacks but currently looking....yeah cow will eat the yukkuri...awesome. Good way to get rid of shitheads.

-Edit-
Okay, so apparently sparkles are just being clean I think? Not quite sure. Seen a baby on a stalk sparkle like gold, and come out a shithead, and a non sparkling one come out as a shit. Either way, loving the new feature where the yukkuri actually say things like 'I like you!' or 'I love you!' and happy with the murderous cow.

Updated

So I've got two yukkuri that sparkle right now, as seen here:

The Komarisa and balloon-Patchy. I have yet to figure out what the sparkles mean, though. They aren't at their max points, and it's not a point threshold that I can see (the Marisa's only worth like 1400ish usually, while the Patchy is around 9k). It started when they fell asleep, I think right after playing with some toys for awhile.

I also noticed, at least in my game, that the amount of rub-rub and stalks are much, much lower. Maybe niceheads don't try to mate as much now?

So far it seems as though the sparkles do depend on how much of a nicehead the yukkuri is. After a while with my sparkling Kotalice and Patchloon, the sparkles became golden instead of white and instead of saying the usual 'I like you' they say 'I love you!!!', though I noticed while a shithead said 'I like you' it didn't sparkle.

That could work, I tried bathing a dirty ko I got from the machine to see if it was a cleanliness thing. Water will take the dirt off (and they don't seem to drown, just bob around), but it's definitely not a cleanliness thing either.

I got a shithead Remi out of the vending machine that said "I like you!" which made me feel bad, so I sold her instead of feeding her to the cow.

I noticed why the ones outside keep killing eachother, it's over those items they randomly find, flowers and cans and the like. It is very amusing to watch them do this over small items that can be found anywhere.....
