If at least 6 countries ratify TPP and their combined GDP is at least 85%, TPP will be enforced by February 2018. Under section G or J in the Intellectual Property Rights chapter, anyone who uses copyrighted material in any way, including non-profit, can be incarcerated and/or extradited for copyright infringement without the original artist/author's input, even if permission to make derivatives, remixes, and parodies of is expressly granted beforehand. Needless to say, ISDS will be more brutal. In turn, the doujin community and the manga/anime industries will suffer. Both ZUN and Ken Akamatsu (creator of Love Hina and Negima!) expressed their opposition for this reason.

again, won't affect oyp and most doujin artists won't give a shit. TPP is a broad legislation covering a number of topics and doujins/oyp is not remotely the first thing that will be looked at, not to mention TPP stalled in US.
It's fine you're trying to raise awareness but this is not even remotely the right forum to do so.
TPP is probably dead in the water (and may many piss on its grave), cause the US is almost certainly out now... The signatories combined GDP can't be 85%, since the US is (IIRC) more than 15% of the world's GDP.
Also, Fuck the TPP. (and fuck EA, and Fuckonami, and...)

True, considering PM Abe did call TPP "meaningless" without the US a few weeks ago.
