Don't trust those guys. They sell you plagiarized essays to turn in instead of doing the work yourself, and then turn around and sell those same essays to the schools to catch you cheating. There is no honor among thieves at all.

Joking aside, I think either disabling user registration or a domain change is in order.
I want to thank Fly for dealing with the spambots.
If you look at the list of mod actions, you see 8(!) pages of Fly deleting bots.
That's surely a lot of work!

Sorry I was out of the country.
However there's no easy way to disable registration. as far as I know we need to figure out how to disable the hyperlink or disable registrations easily and there's no good way to do that without enhancing the website.
I can give out the sourcecode of the version of danbooru 2 we're using if anybody wants to take a crack at writing a ruby plugin or something.
I'm going to reach out to @EasyDeibu but truth be told HTTPS is easily defeated and wouldn't deter a bot attack in any way shape or form.

Going to make this easy and ban the recent wave of bots wholesale, but note they'll keep making more accounts and the accounts don't get re-used anyway.
edit: if you have a mail.ru account that's in the flood of bots you'll need to pm me personally.
edit: 541 banned (missing a bunch obviously but erring on the side of caution)
Will also disable sign-ups for the time being.
