Considering that it needs a lot of backstory reading or a summary of it to understand the whole thing and not misintepeter it, I bet it is.

Not many people know this, but that story is related to various ankos that explain a lot of that scenario.

Hahaha, nope. You need absolutely zero "backstory reading" to get what's going on. You don't even need to know what the fuck an "anko" is. All you need to know is some fucktard is throwing cute animals into a microwave for no good reason.

And funnily enough, you can get that from looking at the pictures. All that nuanced story stuff gets in the way of enjoying things.

starshine

That's because of being unwilling to read the backstory, since those not liking it would be focused on seeing it as a 100% unreasonable act instead of seeing it as an act that had a reason to be, but went overboard instead of do something more reasonable (like further punishment in a reasonable way or plainly euthanize them in a less ultra violent way, because they seem to had become shitheads and not just unwitting pawns of the Koreimu. And of course, the parent's not witnessing it.)

The story changes a lot with the stuff explained in the anko, and the comic becomes a lousy summary at best focused more on the microwaving than in telling the story as whole.

But again, not like anybody that isn't into yukkuri stuff in general (aka not only FF works) would care, since they would still hate the story.

Ah memories... pool #255

Kinda reminds me that in the end we never got to know if Anon was just trolling them, or if he was just a patient person that expected them to learn after many failed attempts and finally realized It's worthless and dumped them, that or maybe a bit of Column A and a bit of Column B.

Anon was just a patient person. The alternate endings and joke paths make it confusing but it always begins/ends/repeats with Anon telling the yukkuri(s) NOT to refresh/reproduce. The hard translated version with the hybrid simply has an error.

yukiyuzen

Yeah, I kinda suspected that also, but because of those alternate/joke paths It kinda left me confused. And the whole error thing in the last page is true as well.

Yeah, I blame modern bureaucracy on the Badge Association, or either corruption by accepting "extra" money from the owners of the pets or leniency out of laziness.
That or my favourite theory that PETY and it's nemesis the AYG are conspiring against Pet Yu's for their own reasons (making it rather ironic that those sworn enemies are unknowingly working on the same thing) by having agents fucking up the Badge Association capacities of testing appropiately any pet yu candidate.

DAMNED EXTREMISTS!

We have to come up with the excuse that "physics bends over sideways to screw yukkuris" because we're pedantic. pool #265

No, we come out with that as a funny non serious reason to explain how Yukkuris get themselves killed in some ways that are outright against the laws of physics or similar rules.

Don't take it so seriously and let go of it, you can't be THAT bothered by a joke/meme justification.
Take It Easy, don't take jokes and memes at heart.

Um, no I was just poking fun at the fact the "meme" hasn't been a meme for years now. Its been part of the yukkuri canon for a while now but people keep dropping and picking it back up whenever they want an argument to go their way.

Science screws with yukkuris, yeah, we get it. Stop beating us over the head with it.

yukiyuzen

When used in arguments is a jokeful way of saying "Don't think too hard" like when people go "It shouldn't electrocute itself for peeing on a socket!" or stuff like that, It's the same of saying "yukkuris don't make sense with IRL logic, don't take it seriously."

And I don't think it's that canon, I can recall only 2 or 3 stories that are seriously "world/laws of physics bend to screw with them." or at least directly or indirectly imply so, The rest are plausible scenarios with no reality bending.

Hmmm, Thinking about it, since you mentioned Science screws with yukkuris (even though law of physics =/= science always).

Makes me wonder if there is some of the "Magic vs Science" happening in the yukkuri stories.

What part of "science bends over to screw with yukkuris" do you not understand?

The part where you mistakenly claim that "Laws of Physics = Science" Science works with the law of physics for sure, and helped research them, but that doesn't make them the same thing, you can have law of physics without doing any science. It's like saying that Gravity bends itself to screw with the yukkuris and say that it's also "science" bending itself to screw the yu's.

There is a difference between the world natural rules we come out with thanks to scientific investigation, and those very same rules being always SCIENCE.

When I speak about Science vs Magic, I speak of Scientific Method vs Magical Nature.

Theres no such thing as "Magical Nature". Troll harder.

Magical Nature as in something of Magical Origin, I was trying to come out with something that could paralel "scientific method" but calling it "magical method" sounded kinda weird, and going "vs Magic *snort snort*" would had been out of place.

In other words, you want stories/pictures that portray "scientific method" vs "some of magical origin" but you won't or can't define either.

Again, troll harder. You can't even explain what you want to other people, how do you expect them to make what you want?

*Ahem* My Monster Manual written by Gary Gygax himself, bless his soul, suggests otherwise.

Also, Yukkuris.

yukiyuzen

Actually I wasn't wanting anything, I just was wondering if it was happening, after all we had stories on which people mention how the biology of yukkuris defies everything science taught us and not in the "knowledge changing" way, so I was wondering if the theme was really used to some degree or if it was only a coincidence.
I thought it would be kinda obvious, since I'm not using a phrase encouraging the making of a story with such theme or asking for it.
