Could you forward me the decompiler and decrypter when you have a chance please?

Here you go best of luck, haven't had much on my end. The one you want is;

spihsp [2013-01-10]

On a side note you will need a program called Susie, as some of it is plugins for it, the other stuff is for decrypting what gets pulled. Unfortunately all the nitty-gritty details are in Japanese, I believe I have pulled the code (and I think the decrypt-er worked on it but not 100%) but there is two problems it looks like the compiler used by HSP3.3 process it all through C++ and crunches it down in to assembly, which if I have done my reading right will most likely be impossible to backwards engineer. Bad news aside I have confirmed two things 1 The text that come in the archive is not used by the .EXE at all but the Pictures are so we can Mod that to a certain degree such as background load screen and the Icon used for what action is selected (the one that has the little Marisa picture).

Edit:
the link for Susie;

http://www.digitalpad.co.jp/~takechin/download.html

Despite what the site says (only works up to XP) it is working just fine on my Win 7 64bit with no special settings, and menus can be changed to English.

To change it to English;
-Launch the program and you should see a little bar in the top right corner going down.
-At the bottom of the bar you will see a downward facing arrow, click it
- A pop-out menu will come out, highlight the top item
-Another pop-out menu will show (you'll know you have the right one because you have shortcuts shown here such as CTRL+O,CTRL+C,CTRL+S,etc...) Select the item that goes not have a shortcut it should be in the middle ignoring the grayed out one.
-A little windows should pop up called Setting, click on the drop down menu and select the fourth item down from the top.
- Now on the right hand side of the little window you should see Language with a radial toggle for English/Japanese, of course select English.
- Hit OK the button on the left along the bottom of the window.
- Close the program and reboot it, now if you hit the downward arrow again the options there should all be in English.

Updated

If you've already extracted the source, can you just forward me that?
HSP shouldnt be compiling to machine code because.. well it doesn't actually have a compiler afaik, just an interpreter, so the source, or at least some sort of fairly high level intermediate is probably still in there somewhere.

I doubt that HSP would use anything C++ related since it isn't object oriented and is based on BASIC.

I've tested the EXE a few different ways and done some reading the EXE comes back as VC + +2005 which makes sense as according to there own wiki HSP was written in C++. Now than as far as the games EXE is concerned there is two things inside it a .TTF and a .AX turns out the .AX is where all the code is stored as per ( http://translate.google.com/translate?langpair=ja|en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fdev.onionsoft.net%2Fsvn%2Fopenhsp%2Ftrunk%2Fpackage%2Fwin32%2Fhspsdk%2Fhsp3code.txt ) that link is from the HSP DEVs now what I can't tell is if the .AX is encrypted as I have nothing that reads it properly and the decrypter doesn't seem to do anything to the file
