The gist of that work is this Maricha was abused for experiment purposes, losing her accessory, braid, and some of her hair in the process. An anon which was either one of the researcher or the researcher's friend, which is presumably the same anon in this story, decided to adopt said Maricha as a pet. He gave her 2 pet clothes, one to be used as her replacement accessory.
By the time of this pool as you can see, she seems to have gotten comfortable as a pet, gotten used to her replacement accessory, and has also gotten used to seeing her owner abuse other yus.
