"Munch! Munch! Happinessss [music note]"
At last the rainy season has ended.
This yukkuri family seems to enjoy eating the grass and flowers that have grown abundantly from the plentiful rain and midsummer sunshine. The family has succeeded in surviving "Rainy Season Confinement" without losing a single member.
Worrying about the amount of remaining food day after day, they weren't able to take it easy one bit, and the precious children ended up having to endure hunger.
The two parent yukkuris have had the importance of stockpiling and rationing food etched deeply in their bean paste.
That's right--with its brief duration and high survival rate, "Rainy Season Confinement" is also a practice run for the long, hard "Winter Confinement."
This yukkuri couple will surely make preparation upon preparation when they attempt "Winter Confinement." Even so, there is no knowing whether or not they'll be successful. In fact, it isn't even certain that they'll live to see winter--that's how harsh nature is to yukkuris.
