Well this looks insanely fascinating.
i Really want to know This story
...sacrifice to the mountain Yu-god?...tribute to keep the mister humans away?
even crazier, this tribe of yukkuris had awknowledge the humans superior capacities yet instead of leading to a more humble nature and maybe coexistance, they went way too far into that mindset and worship the humans as gods and sacrifice yukkuris to them.
The people that get the sacrifices? either try to cure the "Sacrifices" or go "Meh".
I'm thinking advanced clan taking an injured member to be healed. But hey, I'm an optimist.
Or maybe a criminal being take away before judgment?
Taht would be a cool idea Three, and more plausible than our crazy theories lol.
The story is by 4byte, who does very short stories. Here it is, in its entirety:
I will use my advanced investigative skills and concur with Three's initial conjecture. This is evidenced by the fact that they have given food to the alice( since when do they give future victims food?), they are exerting their own strength in pulling it( This is how victims are treated: post #11627 They are forced to move by themselves and pulled along, rather than carried), and the somber mood of all the depicted yukkuris, sadly looking down and the youmu tearing up( If this was scum or a sacrifice they would be angry or smug-looking.)

I don't have a complete translation, but from what Toawa posted, it looks like the story is that a nearby Anon is keeping a pet Remilia, and he's told the herd that if they choose one from amongst their own and leave them out as a sacrifice, he will keep his Remilia in check, and even let them hunt in his yard.
So, a noble and valued sacrifice? Esteemed, but perhaps due to being a sacrifice...
Translation of story:Sweet candy can really take it easy, right? Even if the amount is small, you can still enjoy them and take it easy, and even take it easy even if hungry, right? That's why, from within your herd, won't you choose 1 yukkuri by yourselves, and give them to me? A very sweet one at that.I have a pet Remilia. Can you see her? She's looking this way from the second-floor window. I need meals for her. Wait, don't run away. If you run away, then I'll let her go hunting every day. If that happens then you will be chased all around the town, and your herd will likely no longer exist.Because, you see, Remilia rather than dead yukkuri likes to chase down living, moving yukkuri. Also slow-footed children would be the first ones eaten. You wouldn't want that, right? That's why, 1 yukkuri is enough. You choose among yourselves and send them over. If possible, a sweet looking one would be nice. They'll last longer then. Right...even more that a sweet one, an energetic one would be even better. I don't particularly care if they're trash, but those types don't seem to become that sweet. Those types are quickly eaten, so if it's child yukkuri I would need one every day. But, a tasty-looking...if it's a healthy pretty yukkuri, let's see...she'd take her time and eat her over the course of 3~4 days. A good yukkuri gets bullied and knocked about, made sweeter and is little by little eaten. That's why, ones that go and say "Eat up!"* by themselves don't become very sweet.Anyway, if the herd were to disappear, then everyone would be troubled, right? Really, just one yukkuri is enough. It doesn't matter who. It's enough if you share just a little, so that my Remilia doesn't go hungry.Just beat them up a little then leave them by the doorway. If you do that, then I'll keep Remilia locked up. What do you say?Good. Then I'll take this one. Ah, in exchange you can use my backyard for hunting. I think there should be plenty of nuts and insects. You might see and hear a lot of things coming from the window, but don't concern yourselves with it. Yeah...don't worry, as long as she doesn't go hungry, I won't let her out. But, it would be nice if you also paid attention and made sure to have one readied in advance.
They were unexpectedly understanding, and it really helped me out. Always buying live bait from the store adds up to a lot of money, after all.
I'm thinking on how they build it...
Wow, smart anon, but to keep remilia fed every 3-4 days he'd need a large herd and that's not possible for a backyard unless he lives out in rural area.
Sounds like he's supplementing a store-bought supply of yukkuris with the local clan's offerings.
I can't imagine feeder yukkuris to be that expensive really.
Thanks for the t/l NotAnEasy-aki .
