Generally, yukkuri can still identify specifically if they see the yukkuri taking off the hat. Like in Yukkurarium family, between studies, and series showing aquatic yukkuri. post #25460 shows a particularly dumb Reimu, but that's more of the exception.
In Removal of Marisa's accessory, a key plot point is that the hat was taken when they were sleeping, and couldn't see the before and after effect.
There is also the whole thing of Mama Reimu Helping with a Stick as well, but oh well, like her husband, they are low quality paste for brain.
And yeah, isn't that ironic? for a creature that it's supposed "reason to be" is to take it easy, they sure don't take it easy at all, and not necessarily because of the world hazards or anything, but their own actions and attitudes.
This one was wonderful: yukkuri's technical department at work is always the best. Special mention for Marisa's and Reimu's tears of relief when the little one is 'safe'.
gotta love panel 5, it's like someone did a ZA WARUDO with only the hat not being affected. Doesn't help it pretty much makes it stand out with that "lighter aura" like effect from the slightly darker "time frozen" enviroment.
it's amazing how seemingly smart-ish or resourceful Marisa's genius things get destroyed by one stupid reimu child. It's also funny to think that it's probably just a puddle or something, but to them it may as well be the Amazon. Stories like this are always some of my favourite - none of them are particularly bad except for being yukkuri, that is, extremely stupid/naive. I mean if that hat was worth so much, why risk it just to be a boastful idiot. Marisas are complicated and dumb.
