Well this story was interesting, instead of average abuse or anything, this was some sort of experiment, or at least a simulated scenario meant to trigger the "please eat up" action of the yukkuris, but the very experiment failed since the Reimu wasn't as selfless as expected.
Maybe next time Anon should pick up a wild set instead of "non wild" leftovers from a petshop, those may have greater chances of having the selfness necessary for "please eat up" to happen.
Yeah i know it may sound weird to say yukkuris having the ability to be selfless, but let's remember that wild yukkuris are either "Them > Family > Everything Else" or "Them = Family > Everything else" in their priorities and while scum and trash may be that, they may show some low ammount of selfness towards their family. (yet not necessarily making them non Trash Yukkuri).

You have to consider that they were hungry and then starving, so it's not that strange for the koyukkuri to react like that, if anything she was an average yukkuri that isn't allowed to take it easy, and you know how average yukkuris overreact and overdramatize any moment on which their easiness is denied and unfulfilled, worse yukkuris just do the same but enchanced 10 times in the ammount of whailing, being noisy and trashing around wiggling their stupid bodies.
This got me wondering on the yukkurarium_game. Would be awesome to see parent-child interactions between yukkuri like the way it's portrayed in this strip. Maybe a future update?

not a shithead; but I consider brats to be children who exhibit bratty behavior, even if they can grow out of it.
Observing the box from a distance, I could see mother Reimu's crying and screaming. I could hear the hungry grumble of Reimu's stomach. Even with the annoying koyukkuri gone, there's still no solution to the lack of food. While she munched on it (the poop), tears and a whining noise escaped from her. 4th day. Because no food was ever put into the box to begin with, there are only two things in the box. After considering for a little bit, mother Reimu began moving towards the side of the room and began to eat her own poop. The poop was not able to satisfy her hunger, but at least it beat having an empty stomach. Reimu sniffled. 5th day. Observations continued the next day. Reimu is doing something in the corner. Seems like she's licking the walls. I had coincidentally observed the moment that mother Reimu ate her koyukkuri's accessory. But it seems like the type of Reimu I got didn't have the ability to "self-split" and let others "eat up". On that day, mother Reimu seemed to have thought about something from time to time and shook while burying her face. 8th day. Today I also checked to see if Reimu was alive. The bean paste that the koyukkuri had sucked away was also part of the life-force of the mother. 11th day. 14th day. The last time I had checked on Reimu was 2 days ago. But I was still able to tell that Reimu still had some sort of reaction. It seems that the yukkuri is able to live for a fairly long time in a condition where their skin wouldn't be broken, resulting in the hemorrhaging of their bean paste. The Reimu body that I hadn't touched for a while had become somewhat solidified. After examining mother Reimu for the last time, I ended my observation. 7th DayShe continued licking the walls.... Reimu repeated this strange behavior for quite a while. 6th day. When she swallowed the accessory, her body shook a little. Leaving the accessory intact is like making the excuse of "It's not like Reimu ate everything?"
So it could be said that Reimu's excuse for eating the accessory was an involuntary act. Her tears having dried up, the result is Reimu laid inside the corner of the box for a whole day. When I bought them, I had wanted to see the "now, please eat up!" self-splitting act....Today too, I didn't notice her moving. 9th dayBut this Reimu had already eaten the koyukkuri using her own will.
