you know when someones says it outloud it really come off as sounding stupid and I know this is suppose to be the first few monthes after there discover so why the hell are there already yuka-chens running around and bodied ones at that
Hmm some stories work with the idea that yukkkuris first lived for a while in gensokyo developing and such (incluiding changing from the 100% FF only types to scums, shitheads, etc.) then for some unknown reason they were able to cross the hakurei barrier (or maybe the hakurei barrier feel by itself?) and they spread around japan and then the world.
Damn, I forgot to mention what I was going with that paragraph.
The idea that is that maybe yuka-chens and bodied yukkuri are available early in the modern world, because they developed during their time of only living in gensokyo.

I don't know about that I allway asumed that the yuka-chens were first developt by factories also I think you should go with the hakurei barrier falling mainly because there are alot of yukkuri stories where youkai can be seen liveing in modern cities. on another note I hade an ideal for a story about a bunch of kids liveing in the future where youkais and humans live in peace and humans now live a much longer time because of advancement in technology allowing them to live as long as youkai do.
Yuka-chens were just hybrids, no products of the factory, there was NEVER a implication of the factory making them, they are just by product of a weird birth from yukas and chens breeding, basically like all the others hybrids around the yukkuri works.
The only thing that makes yuka-chens stand out is the fetiche nature that part of the fandom put on them.
