As expected, someone took their home as soon as KoMarisa left it. This remind me of a video talking about European Staring steal the nest from some other bird.
Actually they have five offspring though it's still aggravating and raise a few questions as Yukkuri can't count pass three so what do they consider the two extra Ko to be?
I would say the fact that Yukkuri are so willing to steal other's home at the drop of a hat is anger inducing, but a lot of wild animal do the same thing as well.
"This is reimu and alice's house! Uneasy manjuu get lost!" "Don't even touch a hair on my city-sect babies!" "YUYU, WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? THIS IS REIMU AND LIDDLE ONE'S HOUUUSEEE"
In the short time she was gone, the paper box has already been taken over by another family. It is a Alice-Reimu family, with five little ones.
"YUYU HURRY UP AND SURRENDER THE MUNCH MUNCH TO US AND WE MAY SPARE YOUR LIFE, STUPID MANJUU!" "YUWAWAWAWA!!! REIMU'S LIDDLE ONE YUWAAAA~!"
"Yo dis is reimu and alice home now uneasy manjuu GTFOO NOWWWW!" "bitch you stay way back from our precious jewels of transcendent perfection bitch!" "WTF DUDES, NO U GTFO MY HOUSE"
"You Will Surrender Your Bountiful Harvest For Our Nourishment In Exchange For A Chance At 'Life'!" "I am a perfectly good and responsible mother and i shall now commence worrying about my spawn of the devil!"
Dammit how did I miss the fifth one!? And yeah it's kinda weird, but I think the problem is more about counting them than just "realizing they exist", you can realize someone is nearby you without counting the ammount of people.
By the way, Thanks for the translattion Yu-curry and you have the best nick ever for this fandom.

You may have a point there although I do believed that Yukkuri lump anything pass three as one huge thing so giving a Yukkuri four pieces of candy would be about the same as giving it hundred pieces of candy since after three the rest is simply one big thing to them.
Now for the case of their "little ones" any Ko born after the first three can be considered one of the following:
- An extension of the first three. They're sorta treated as individuals, but not so much. - That "What's his/her face" in that they're considered there but at the same time not there at all. - "Who are you and where you come from?" Rarely happens but possible.

I'd like to think of the second option. This is what would happen in a yukkuri clan with lots of them. They can still recognize individuals and when someone is missing, they will go straight to the individuals instead of numbers.
For example:
In the last extermination... Reimu and Alice and Marisa and Patchouli and Reimu [repeat] took it easy forever
Instead of
In the last extermination, 24 of our friends took it easy forever
Just like when only a little number of human die, they're individuals and not just statistic numbers.

I think option #2 was worded wrong. I was trying to say that after the first three Ko the rest become easily forgettable faces. I mean they're there and you know they exist, but they don't exist as individuals with names, etc...in their eyes. The rest are just there to be there.

Ghostrideit already tackled the latter part of your statement but your first part remains true. Yukkuri love to abuse the "I'm there victim here" excuse to justify almost any action they take and it's that part is what makes home declaration/theft so aggravating.

Not only for theft, also for murder, rape, torture, bullying, etc. And not necessarily "after" they "feel offended/threatened" they could had done all those hideous crimes first, and when a human or a good yu calls them on it or proceed to accordingly punish them, they still pull the Victim Card.
Well I doubt that child would've been able to stop them even if it was there
