Actually, since you'd need to firmly press down the spoon (that lever thing) before you can remove the safety pin, it should be impossible for a (singular) yukkuri to set it off.
Then again, given the supernatural ability of the yukkuri species to find ways to die, it might still be tempting fate.

In the fourth and fifth panels the pin gets caught on some grass and as the Marisha rolls it, the spoon is depressed and falls off.
