Nah, I'm used to them as the default. I think we just escalate them further and further as a game.
The pair in the compost, on the other hand, amazes me. Even if they may not mean it, the idea of yukkuris that don't want to reproduce is foreign to me. I always figured that reproducing was their number one instinct. Even the most self-congratulatory yukkuris--no, especially them-- tend to put their little ones on an even higher pedestal than themselves, though it may be their own egos at work still.
