Pretty nice hunter pet vs house yu series. Overall understandable even without translations. Only thing I don't understand is the flashback about bronze badge chen getting killed. Perhaps this Chen is the gold badge mother/bigsister shown in the flashback and is wearing the bronze badge as a memento or to fool the house yu that killed the bronze chen? It's quite likely as this "bronze" chen seems too smart to be a bronze badge, with it being smarter than lots of the silver and gold badge yu in OYP pools (but to be fair most silver and gold badges are just plot tools to point out the particular yu is a pet yu).

You said exactly what I was thinking.
This Chen seems too smart to just be a bronze. Took care of the house yus like they were nothing.
First box on post #69257 says Chen is a gold badge pet wearing a copper(?) badge as decoration, so you're right. This Chen is the father seen on post #69266.
This pool deserves a full translation, it's pretty good.

Err... things only starts to get ugly from N2 in my opinion. The tests are all multiple choices, and it's really geared more on testing comprehension (passive) rather than communication (active).
The worst part is getting sleepy and only realized that the listening part's problem already finished and you don't have any memory of what you listened the last several seconds.

Uh, N2 ain't no problem, really. And taking notes while listening will make sure you get the key points to answer the questions, instead of dozing off. After all, you can never get sleepy if your hand's scribbling at 60 WPM onto a piece of scrap paper.
Onto this panel: this Chen originally is a gold-badged one, but it sees itself as unfit for the badge, as it killed the cockroach yu for revenge with great glee and enjoyment. To mark the most basic level of pet ownership, it wears a bronze badge instead, and gave the gold one to the hat of the yukkuri it sees as the most fitting: its late child. To be honest, this particular panel is both heart-warming and depressing at the same time.
