Well, the planet where the yukkuris live do seem like a suitable place for organisms to inhabit - meaning that it'd become a viable place for human colonizers (us) to set foot on when our earth becomes incapable of supplying the human race. Nevermind the poor, average citizens like you and I, government entities and the ultra-rich would most likely embark on expeditionary voyages with their militaries, and that's when the dosu-sized manjuus would need to be wary of the strange bipedal "aliens" that fly in odd machines and wave star-spangled banners or red flags with five stars in the corner. Their arrival should be heralded several decades beforehand by space probes and reconnaissance vehicles that the yukkuri may or may not perceive as an ill omen of conflict.
Now a war between the human colonizers and the native yukkuri/"yumans" would be something I'd want to see. How would the yukkuri respond to never-before-seen machines of war manned by creatures looking like those that they usually hold in contempt? How would the colonizers interact with the native "yumans"? How are the "yumans" different from us -or rather, those rich bastards that could afford a galactic voyage- in the first place? I see world of potential possibilities in these questions.

If you actually paid enough attention and are privy to certain real world knowledge, you would find out part of the plot of the story :)

well, what I see is a parallel copy of Earth that branched off from the history as we know it at a certain point in time, so what're you trying to get at here?
The narration stated:
The creatures known to us as Yukkuris started out on a planet similar to ours but with obvious differences.
Well, if this doesn't mean a parallel Earth separate from ours, then tell me what is it?

Either wait for the story to unfold or pay careful attention to what has been presented. I could write this as a fanfic in YFT but I prefer adding in my shitty art to stories I make.
