A yukkuri text based life simulator rpg
I actually started coding a text game for a yukkuri rpg simulator 5 months ago >_> Basically it's a random number game driven text rpg.
At first, you customize your yukkuri form's stats like in mount and blade where your backstory dictates how much of a starting stat you get. If you are even unlucky you could actually die just being born >_>. One of the reasons why I could not really put the final touches to it is because not only are there scant graphical variations (and I am a bit obsessive about that) but because I could not satisfactorily portray food picked at different times to spoil at different rates because I suck with coding >_>.
After picking the starting stats you get a backstory and then you are thrown to the wild to survive. During the course of the game you acquire skills and attributes like hunting skills, reading abilities, stealth and charisma which will make your survival better.
Occasionally you'd encounter challenges to your survival like big animals and even a human where you may have to fight. Some enemies are near impossible to defeat unless you get special attributes >_> like dosuification or magic which is near impossible to get. The standard yukkuri approach of trying to be inconspicuous is vital and you need to invest on perception skills.
I had plans for choices of yukkuri mates and the resulting litters of the mating but I scrapped that because I have to write separate lines of code for the determination of your mate and your progeny's survival in a somewhat believable manner and I was too lazy.
The original plan was to select from standard yukkuri templates like marisa, reimu, alice, chen and so on but I am afraid my obession with trying to make sense of them will consume my time so I went full sumireko instead.
