Yeah, based on the first image, we can conclude that there are indeed some external forces that tear that wasa braid, as its family (even its siblings) is very fond of her, so we can exclude the "jealousy" or "this child is uneasy" part. Now consider 3 "candidates": 1/ Animals: almost none, as usually they only target the accessory if they really want to screw with it, but 99% they will just attack, but that wasa doesn't suffer from any damage. 2/ Other yukkuris: maybe. But if that thing somehow infuriates another one of its peers, it won't stop with only its braids being plucked out. That leaves us with the third and most plausible one: human interference.
