Koishi probably helped making a part of the yukkuri basic behaviour programming, those related to accessory abuse. All yukkuri think "My hat (or accessories) is my friend, it helps me feel relaxed" So, all these time, there's still no yukkuri story about that particular series ?
About the anko, this is a natural setting family friendly story about nicehead family.
Summary:
This rare Koishi yukkuri has a peculiar behaviour. Early morning it will wake up and silently swallow poop without complaining.
Koishi do it quietly so the real nest owner doesn't know. They're too weak physically, so they rely of their ability and knowledge to stay stealth to the yukkuri family whose nest she's living in.
Yukkuri Koishi is a hard to find rare type. They live by becoming parasite in other yukkuri's family, hiding. This made them very difficult to find. Usually, abyuser find them deep inside nest hole after hunting yukkuri family.
Back to this Koishi, she ate poop quietly. She has to be careful because this family is not so stupid. They will realize if the poops get a lot less in just a night. After eating, Koishi wipe her mouth to erase the smell that might let other yukkuri found her. She also covered herself in leaves as camouflage. When other yukkuri went to activity, Koishi sleeps.
As the sun goes higher, yukkuri went on their activities. This forest the clan living in is blessed, an easy place.
This family is no scum either. The Marisa went out hunting, father teaching daughter about the fruits in the forest. Mother Reimu is not a scum who think she only need to make herself easy and everyone will be gratefully easy too. She and her daughter cleaned the house, change the toilet leaf and dry the bed out on the sun. All of this so their family can feel easy after coming home from the hunt. The yukkuri who will feel easy by doing hard work and letting other yukkuri feel easy. After cleaning the house, Reimu and her daughter have an afternoon nap.
When Marisa came home, Reimu is in panic, she can't find the Koreimu and there's an unknown yukkuri in the house. Father Marisa came in and found Koreimu talking to the wall. Going closer, father Marisa saw the strange yukkuri. According to mother Reimu, it's an uneasy yukkuri who doesn't answer when asked. Maybe this is a nice family because they don't straightly kill Koishi for it.
Despite the parents' worries, Komarisa offered the wild strawberry she picked for herself and her sister to this unknown yukkuri. Silently, Koishi said "Happyness".
Mother Reimu then picked Koishi up and do lick lick to clean her while father Marisa took Koishi's hat to clean the dust and return it to her.
They will make this unknown yukkuri feel easy. And for the first time ever, that day, Koishi feel easy because of the family.
very interesting because I don't believe I've ever seen a koishi as anything other than a pothead/drug addict(???) on the site. Didn't read any stories about them either.
JusticeItEasy said: Though,Now I can't help but wonder how the koishis get in other yu's nests?
Cover herself in old cardboard box and sneak in when nobody is looking ? Stay still when their eyes is pointed at her direction and continue when they look the other way. Also be careful with the dogs. :)
Or they just have their basic Koishi ability of being noticed only by the subconscious. I recall reading one story about a Koishi that an Anon took as a pet after it kept showing up in his house no matter how many times he threw it out.
Not on this one. Koishi has to stay stealth with her own effort. Unless the yukkuri is really dumb (in yukkuri scale), they would notice another unknown yukkuri in the nest or how things just suddenly disappeared. Even this Koishi who lives by eating the family's poop had to be moderate so the family doesn't notice there's less poop than what they make. She dare not to touch the food reserve or anything like it.
The Koishi are freeloading on other yukkuri's nest, probably almost permanently. If it's temporary, the house owner might think it's just their imagination. But if it keeps on happening, that family would realize something is not right.
