Examples:

• There's food but the parent ate it all by herself
• abandoning it
• Sacrificing it in favor of herself
• Killing it (unless it deserved to die e.g. it killed her sister)
• aborting/killing their babies while it's not born yet (unless enforced by someone else like a clan/pet-owner rule)
