Based on Patchouli Knowledge, stage 4 boss of Touhou 6. Wears a pink bonnet with a gold crescent symbol over lavender hair, with two large ribboned braids, and is filled with cream.
Relatively common, Patchoulis are physically fragile yukkuri, and are more susceptible to dying from shock or stress-induced vomit. On the other hand, they are one of the more intelligent types of yukkuri, and will often become leaders, advisors or elders in wild clans, as well as being a popular pet yukkuri for their more quiet demeanors. Shithead Patchoulis will often consider themselves to be the "great sage of the forest", and may be the brains behind their clans' invasions of human property.
Patchoulis have an innate love of books and reading, and even illiterate Patchoulis will feel very easy sitting atop open books or magazines. They are often depicted as learning to read much more quickly than other yukkuris, and will declare their favorite books as their treasured "grimoire", "magic book" or "great library".
Patchoulis typically form clans with other common types of yukkuri such as Reimu, Marisa, Alice and Youmu. Their relationship to and affinity with other Scarlet Devil Mansion-based yukkuri such as Remilia, Flandre, Sakuya and Meiling may vary.
Patchoulis often have "mukyuu!" or variants as a catchphrase, a reference to a memetically popular noise the real Patchouli is associated with, often heard when they are injured, thinking or flustered.
Particularly shitheaded Patchoulis are sometimes known as Batchouli. Especially fat ones may be known as Fatchouli. Some Patchoulis become incredibly muscular and strong, known as Manchouli.
