One early morning, an old man is taking it easy in an empty park when a parent-child pair comes up to him. When he hears that they want to stay in this easy place that they've found, he acts hostile and tells them to get out and live somewhere where humans won't see them, threatening to crush them if they don't.
One hour later, the pair has returned, unwilling to give up the easy place so easily, and they initially mistake a different, younger human in a suit for the old man. Asking about their circumstances, he tells them that the old man was lying, and they could stay.
However, after he leaves, he uses his phone to report the presence of yukkuris. Because he didn't want to get his new suit and shoes dirty. He thinks back on what the old man told the yukkuris, and is surprised that there are such kind people around. What he did earlier was to let the yukkuris experience a little bit of happiness, since they were going to die anyway.
