Summary by platina:
A simple abuse story in which a little girl abuses stray yukkuris in the park in winter.
The girl snatches two koyukkuris from their cardboard house while their parents sleep. First she puts them on the frozen pond and watches them struggle to crawl. Then she has them go “skating” and pushes them out to the middle of the pond at a frightening speed. Then she leaves.
The parents find their little ones, and after one failed rescue attempt, the father Marisa figures out that she can sit on her hat and push herself along the ice with a stick.
The little girl comes back with a bag full of rocks. She picks up the mother Reimu and flings her towards the pond. Reimu crashes through the ice and doesn’t resurface. Then the girl starts throwing rocks at Marisa. She doesn’t hit her, but eventually, the rocks break up the ice around Marisa, and Marisa, having previously peed in her hat out of terror and ruined its buoyancy, sinks.
The girl leaves, and the two koyukkuris sit alone on the ice, crying out of sorrow and pain, not knowing that mister sun will eventually melt the ice they’re sitting on.
