Be careful of the plague

Summary:

Close to winter, Patchouli has been working endlessly to handle a crisis facing the stray clan. Koyukkuri are sick and they're gathered together in box, the "hospital".

High fever and even vomitting. This is not like the usual Yu-cold. This is Yunfluenza, much more lethal and infectious.

Patchouli and her team's only defence is the mask, large sheet of leaf covering their mouth.
Patchouli learned about mask and influenza when out of curiosity she asked a human why he's wearing a strange accessory.
Patchouli told the clan about this dangerous disease.

It started from a Koyukkuri, then spread to other koyukkuri and even adults. The children are suffering together. Adult became weak and can't work, giving more burden to the clan.

Patient zero, the a koyukkuri had yu-cold. But it gets worse even after given the very effective human's cold medicine. The disease spreads.

Right now, it's difficult to find leaf big enough to cover yukkuri's whole mouth. Patchouli is worried if in desperation, the clan's yukkuri would break into human's garden and get them exterminated.

There's no other way, they need to ask for help from human. Even though human are the enemy that would exterminate them, human also has vast knowledge of yukkuri.

Just then, a Marisa jumps in and tell Patchouli, a lot of humans are coming.

Patchouli recognize them as Factory workers. This will be a total extermination. The workers sucked the yukkuri one by one using a pipe. But there's still hope. They could be coming to handle the Yunfluenza.

The factory workers stopped when they heard Patchouli said inside the "nest" box are sick yukkuri. The Factory needed this for research, so they bring the box.

Patchouli got sucked too, but she's hopeful these human came to cure the disease. She never had the chance to hear what the workers are talking after that.

Yunfluenza is a yukkuri disease spreading around this area only. Apparently, yukkuri starts immitating even human's sickness; but the real cause is still a mistery, that's why Factory want to conduct a research.

Pet owner got restless with this outbreak of yukkuri disease in their neighbourhood, so they ordered a total extermination of strays.
