In a park one day, Anon makes a comment about a passing Marisa being dirty. It hears and takes offense, but he points out that it crawls along the ground, picking up all sorts of dirt. He also explains that its 'delicious food' is nothing more than unwanted trash, which it took from the garbage area. Marisa later tries to justify that its painstakingly built home of a cardboard box is magnificent, but Anon points out the human homes, which are clearly much more amazing. He then leaves, and Marisa brings the food back to its nest.

During the family's meal, Marisa hears its family talk about how delicious the food is, and suddenly vomits up paste non-stop, because it couldn't accept the gap between its perception of the world and the actual reality. Shocked by the sudden sight of their father vomiting and dying, the two koyukkuris follow suit. As for the mother Reimu, experiencing the sudden death of its family members during a supposedly-easy mealtime without knowing the reason why drives it crazy.
