Anon live alone in a house with his silver badge pet Marisa. Despite being silver badged, Marisa is just a mass produced pet and Anon doesn't really put much expectation.
He has kept Marisa in a section of his house surrounded by wooden fence after an attempt to let Marisa free destroyed his stuffs.
Today, Marisa complained again and demanded to be allowed outside. She has spilled her food and drink again.
Anon doesn't want to listen, but Marisa then said she's already grown up now and can live on her own.
Anon confirmed again, and since Marisa said she can do things on her own now, Anon picked Marisa up and throw her to the garden. He lived far from urban place so there's no neighbour to complain even if Marisa keep on screaming.
He never clean his garden, so the grass grow tall and insects are abundant. Marisa should be able to survive.
At first, Marisa is happy to play, but after she tired herself, Marisa came to ask for food. Marisa is born in pet shop from another mass produced pet yukkuri parents. She's raised with pet food and never identify grass and bugs as food. Instead, she expected food to come from human.
Despite her stupidity, Marisa is still a silver badge, so she doesn't see human as slave who bring food. Instead, her understanding of human feeding her is the same as "food just grow on its own", it's just something natural and supposed to happen, not because the human is slave or anything.
She regretted not eating this morning.Anon in the other hand, felt an easyness after long time. He stay in his room, reading books and then have dinner. When he saw Marisa, he just closed the curtain, shocking Marisa whose already preparing to yell out her dissatisfaction.
Next morning, Marisa came to Mister at the front gate, demanding food and to be bathed because she's dirty. Mister don't care and just go to work happily.
At night, same thing happened. Mister told Marisa, she said she's grown up already.
Here, Marisa showed that yukkuri logic which is "exception". Things that's not convenient to them are exception. Like in this case, Marisa's "can do anything on her own" simply means she doesn't want Anon to limit her, but she still wanted Anon to do things like he used to.After four days and Marisa getting very weak, finally Anon gave mercy after explaining to Marisa what it means to be independent. That means looking for her own home and food, just like those strays.
He took out Marisa's cardboard box and put it in the corner of the garden. He will also give Marisa food, one day portion once a day. Other than that is Marisa's own problem and he won't care.
Day after day, this became a routinity. Anon would pour food for the day on the bowl and then leave, never returning until the next morning. Marisa would eat, play and sleep.
At first, Marisa ate all the food in one serving, but then she learned to split the meal for lunch and dinner too.
One day, a single mother stray Reimu and her pair of children came. They saw Marisa, who's despite being dirty, is still very clean compared to stray.
Reimu begged for food because she can't find any. Marisa, being a pet, refused the dirty stray and tell them to leave.
It's when Reimu called Marisa as "master hunter", the feeling of easyness inherent in Marisa types swept over her and she agreed to give the family, one piece of yukkuri food she had.Of course this is not enough. Reimu and her family asked for more.
Then, KoMarisa asked Marisa, where did she hunt those food from, so they can hunt it themselves.Marisa is hesitant. After being praised as master hunter, she can't tell these strays that she get it from human. So Marisa gave half of her food to shut them. She also invite them to stay in her house.
Marisa's house is bigger and built better than stray's house. It's strong and the entrance is a cutted hole at the side instead of opened side. Inside is layered with clothes. The koyukkuri peed in happyness.
That night, Marisa felt her first easyness of being able to eat and sleep with her own kind.
The next morning, Marisa woke up early and stuffed the food into her hat, then bring it to the family as her bounty of hunt. She then say she's "tired" when the children asked her how she hunted it.
Reimu and her family are happy too. The garden is free from threat of human, animals or other strays. The grasses growing here are edible by strays and there's also a lot of delicious bugs. By the noon, the family eat hunt and eat these food.
When their needs are fulfilled, came the desire to have children. Marisa married Reimu and they had children.
This is the turning point. Compared to Reimu's previous children, Marisa preferred her own children. She praised the children for every little things they do. She also gave them the yukkuri food, no longer sharing with Reimu's family.
Reimu and her children has became used to eating yukkuri food, so the grass and bugs alone can't give them enough happyness anymore. Marisa's children has also grown into scum from being spoiled and let to insult and look down on their own mother and half-sisters.
Even so, Marisa kept calling Reimu's family as "little one yukkuri" because they can't look for food on their own. Although they hate it, the family can't talk back because Marisa has hunted the food they can't.
One morning, Reimu's children woke up early and planned to follow Marisa to the hunting ground. This is when they saw a very uneasy creature.
As strays, they identify human as uneasy creature to be avoided at all cost. But they saw this human giving Marisa the yukkuri food. So, did Marisa hunted for food ?
Anon later noticed the koyukkuri that he thought are Marisa's children. Maybe Marisa did grow up already that she had family of her own now. He decided to bring them into his house to hear their story. He laughed when knowing that stupid Marisa of his made such lie. The part he doesn't like the most is how Marisa is hiding his existence.
Anon made a plan with the children.
Few days later, Marisa went to get some food, but Anon doesn't left any. Still, Marisa hasn't feel any threat yet. She simply think Anon is asleep, or forgotten. But there will be no forgiveness.
Without food, her children starts to cry. The first hunger they ever feel in their life is torturing them like excruciating pain, troubling Marisa.
Normally strays kept emergency food for one day. Marisa with her safe supply of food never do any of that. What she had are just the grass and bugs Reimu kept. Of course, the children don't see them as food, those are uneasy things for their uneasy lowly family members that they look down on. They won't be caught dead eating those and fall down to those strays' level.
KoMarisa and KoReimu told Marisa they will take their mother to hunt today. They went out and meet Anon at the other side of the house.
They bring back bag of yukkuri food in bags, surprising Marisa. She know that those foods came from Anon's house, and it's too dangerous to go there.Reimu's children refused to share the food, returning Marisa's words about them not able to hunt for their own food.
Anon wanted to dispose Marisa already. Seeing the stray family's bad life under Marisa and that they're quite decent as strays, he made this plan to let them take revenge on Marisa and her children.
When Anon came, Marisa is frightened, more about having her secret unveiled. She quickly call the other yukkuri, including her own children, as dirty strays and asked Anon to kill them.
Because he already know, Anon only stepped on Marisa until she's unconscious and then took her childrent too. He disposed them to the park.
He let Reimu and her family to stay in his garden as long as they don't cause him trouble.
After that, he got closer to Reimu's family, not as pet, but just like neighbours he visited sometime to have a talk. Sometimes, he also gave them yukkuri food, but mostly he let them clean the grass and bugs from his garden and that's all.
Meanwhile, Marisa who had no knowledge of living on the street has became even more miserable than strays. The strays used to be looked down by her when she's a pet now look down on her instead.
Because her children can't eat anything else, she's forced to cut her own skin and feed them with her own paste, whether she liked it or not.
