Well, part of how yukkuri fandom works (depending on the works) is that you have to beat them until they admit what they did wrong. If they can't apologize for what they did wrong, then they're scum, and can't be saved. If they can, then that means that they're not scum, and can be taught through discipline.

If I were to judge, yes, both of them were scum, but are probably so scared shitless of this anon, that they'll do anything he says and won't dare say anything uneasy to him. They know he'll mercilessly kill any of them.

Well, to any creature, humans are either eldritch, or viewed as a huge version of the animal's species. Animals don't really know what other animals are. Think about it: if you only lived around humans and had no knowledge of what animals were, then suddenly met a lion.
I like to believe that even the stupid can eventually reach enlightenment -- it's not that they're stupid, it's that they have a different, albeit possibly incorrect, perspective.

Foul language can be just as ingrained in all yus as wanting to eat birthday cake or parfait, yet the yu was born a stray and should have zero knowledge of such delicacies. Yukkuri have no preset determination for how their genetics go. They can be anything the author denotes. A gutter trash or shithead can still give it's life to save it's family, or other shitheads. They've done it before in other stories. It's just pretty rare.
