One Yukkuri Place

And we're talking about how it was so early nobody had started to think about yukkuri as a species yet. They were just another random oddity in Gensoukyou.

If we're talking abyuse, I'm pretty sure Makako helped kicked that off too: post #858.

  • The blog isn't out of order, it is the order. OYP's date is for whenever someone decided to upload it here.

These are the dates makako originally posted each image:

It's less of a story and more a loose series of one-shots, but you can see the progression. Each post has its own title, which I've been putting in the commentary box. I'd go with "Marisa and Alice" as the pool title, since that's the title of two posts and a good description of the series.

  • Sources are tagged per-image, see the "Source:" field on the left under the tag list. post #21 and post #1649 are both from http://yumebouei.blog28.fc2.com/blog-entry-81.html, which is why I suggested the latter should be in the pool - though it doesn't seem to be part of the storyline so linking it as a child might be better.

None of the other posts have proper source links though, which is why I'd have to check the blog. I have to be somewhere in a few hours, but I'll check it out later unless another moonreader beats me to it.

  • If both are available then yes. If you check the numbering the hard TLs should start at around 100 IIRC, to make sorting easier.

Might want to add a link to the first post of the hard TL in the pool description for convenience... but ideally the untranslated ones should have notes so you can read from the start of the pool either way. It's just that some posts are so old the note system wasn't around back then.

  • Since none of the dosus are around...

    1) Bumping posts with actual contributions (questions about tagging etc.) is fine. The "NO NECROBUMPING OR ELSE" attitude is for morons that post page after page of "haha die you shit" and other crap within hours of signing on. We get a lot of them, and we're a little sore about it. Sorry about that.

    2) Pooling/retagging/etc. old stuff is fine too. There are a lot of unpooled and undertagged posts on OYP. If you feel like helping out with that, great! I personally would like to encourage people to post about it, to keep everyone on the same page. I'd be helping out myself but I just don't have the time right now, unfortunately.

  • He ain't abusing her. He's teaching her.

It started with some kind of sour candy, which she called a cloud, then real clouds, lightning and finally electricity. Kanji for electricity is "電気", you can see it half a dozen times on this post alone.

Tossing the socks on her was kind of dickish, but he only stuffed them in her mouth after she (intentionally) beaned him with one. The sour candy didn't bother him at all, and Reimu was literally begging for it, so he gave it to her. The batteries were akin to telling a kid to stick his tongue on the end of a 9V battery - we did that in grade school here. And he tied her in the bag for the night because she was badmouthing him, which she apologised for after he relased her.

TL;DR It's actually pretty cute. Anon is taking the time to answer all his pet's silly questions.

Stories like this are why in my headcanon, abyuse is viewed as a mental illness due to it's addictive nature.

I mean, she's going to keep doing this. Over and over again.

    That can't be healthy.

It's no different from gambling or smoking. Or, hell, throw mobile games in there too - even if they're not as directly unhealthy people still spend stupid amounts of money on them for no good reason. And because of that money they're here to stay, whether we like it or not.

And hey, maybe she's breeding them herself?

  • That's not what the notes mean.

Languages differ by a lot more than words and grammar. Something like "dancing the horizontal tango" would make no sense to a Japanese person. I added the note because I changed the meaning completely and I'm not fluent enough to be sure I got it right.

The first three panels are also very different to what anon is actually saying, but there aren't any idioms or euphemisms involved so I didn't add a note.
