One Yukkuri Place

Blacklisted:

Two things I really love about this moment:

#1. The psychological effect of badges is on full display: it tends to make yukkuri full of themselves and egotistical.

#2. Not all strays are aggressive and cruel. Some can be friendly to other yukkuri, and be looking for more easy friends (future yukkuri clan?)

  • Yeah, but most of the time, it's the opposite: people have a low view of yukkuri and excuse humans when they treat the yukkuri like trash.

It's nice to see a change of pace now and again.

  • Regardless, it's not betrayal.

    At least, not to me.

Like I said, I'd get to know the mate. Heck, the mate might be better-mannered than my pet yukkuri. You can never be sure -- don't follow how the fanon always plays those stories out.

  • The anon in this story is disturbed, but he has a vice -- his father, who apparently beat his mother.

That's what restrains him from actually hurting the yukkuri. He thinks, by giving into that, he'll become what he hates.

As for gold badge Marisa, here, I find it odd that she's Gold Badge, but still says ze.

At any rate, I like the fact that this Marisa is insightful. It's nice to see some upper-level intelligence from a yukkuri now and again. It gets old, seeing the same handful of cookie-cutter personalities from yukkuri which lead to the inevitable ending of misery and death.

  • I'm enjoying this a lot.

I like the style -- like a sketchbook journal of observations by a level-headed, magnanimous anon.

Not looking to kill yukkuri, or sell them, but simply observe them. I like it.

  • I'm generally enjoying these.

The analytical approach to seeing casual, everyday yukkuri is refreshing, rather than, "LOLKILLTHEMALL." Simple observations. Maybe helping one here and there.

    Best anon.

No, it is stupidity. You don't try to provoke a man who is about to kill / torture you. You play along and wait for an oppurtunity.

Then you'd just call her a shithead for taking advantage of.

Seriously, in your mind, they can't win, so there's no point of an 'alternative approach.'

Yeesh, calm down slick. It's only bean paste.

Even yukkuri aren't too stupid to notice that anon is clearly off his rocker. The guy needs help.

To him, all yukkuri are shithead, so there's no point in rationalizing it.

She still betray him if you had pet yukkuri and you dont like your own yukkuri mate with stray right.

you saw your yukkuri had baby now what you gonna to do.

I'd have had my yukkuri fixed.

If that still happened, I'd see how things play out. If Marisa seemed scummy, like she was using Reimu, then I'd dispose of her quietly. Outright killing off the mate will make the pet flee out of fear.

Besides, mating is genetically encoded in every creature. Why should yukkuri be excluded from that rule?

I am somewhat surprised, it's not every day where every yukkuri shown is more likeable than any of the humans shown.

    Feeling this with this story.

  • So much for being a shithead, huh?

    -obligatory post calling Marisa stupid-

Sacrificing yourself so the ones you love and cherish can survive isn't stupid. :3

  • Part of the training for badges:
A yukkuri has to learn how to take off their Mister Accessory and keep it off for a while. The longer they can be easy without it, the better the badge they earn.

The younger they are, the easier they learn. Adolescent to teens have a harder time. Adults have a fairly easy time if you explain to them why you're taking their accessory.
