I went to the source and saved them. Then re-uploaded them here. Even though it said they were duplicates the png's showed up. Could just be on my browser though.
its not a bug. one yukkuri place uses a md5 checksum to detect duplicates, and PNG and JPGs are different in their format innately. A simple md5 checksum will not pick up something like this because in essence, they are not "duplicates". You need an image algorithm like euclidean, and something like that is hard to implement.
