So... uh.... that's weird... It imploded?
Translating the only important part in the middle, the rest are just "yu" and "Yugu" and "BLARF"
"Why ish mishder paste not coming!?""Cute-cute Weimu can'd be born eaju at thish rate!"""Mishder bean-paste ish rotting!""YUYU!? Rotting?!""The rotting mishder paste can'd dage id eajy!"
So a baby koyukkuri needs to replenish/recycle its bean paste when connected to the parent to live... Another theory to the books.
funny how it knows all this stuff before it's even born
Here I go with more fleshing out of new situations:
Sometimes a baby yukkuri is removed from the stalk before fully developed. This is called a premature yukkuri, and typically seems completely healthy aside from having small hair and accessories.
This "unborn" baby yukkuri however, was not completely removed from the stalk. rather, part of the stalk has been removed along with it.
Because of this, it does not recognize itself as having been "born" and imagines that it is still hanging from the stalk. This may have confused it both mentally and/or physically, causing an abnormality in it's filling, paranoia and rash reactions, or both.
Of course, this baby hadn't started moving or talking yet, so it may not have developed to viability yet...
Die very easy~
You can always call artist variance, but this one's hair has developed a lot more than the typical premature.
>>""Mishder bean-paste ish rotting!" Growing in the stalk might be an intense process where a lot of stale filling is generated, but it is absorbed immediately through the stalk and accumulated into mother's body, maybe that explains why Yukkuris get black when they die in a pregnancy: they are full of shit, literally.
>>funny how it knows all this stuff before it's even bornFilling might have lot of memory but Yukkuris cannot take advantage of it. Or maybe thoughts of the mother are transmitted through the filling.
It's well-established they inherit memories from thier parents (well, in text stories mostly) I'm of the opinion that they don't have short memory, they're just simple-minded and short-sighted, so they don't bother remembering anything until they know NEED to. Which is too late in many cases.
I don't like the in AND out circulation Idea myself. Partially because I prefer them not continually generating waste, rather the "magic" nature of them has them convert their paste into pure energy.
Moreover "rotting" implies it's not just stale, but it's taken on the "death stench."
The cutoff of paste stops growth, the attached stalk prevents it from beginning to function independently, and deadlocked paste becomes estranged from the yukkuri and rots.
All things considered, this was a very satisfying yukkuri death. The only way this could have been better is if Marisa killed the rest of the babies this way.
I always wounder if premature yukkuri lived to adulthood. In all the storys with premature yukkuri, they ether die or end the story before any real time has gone past.
In "The cornerstone yukkuri (yukkuri sparta)" as i remember it, the premature babies are discarded because food is scarce and premature yukkuri don't grow.
There's a clammbon drawing showing a premature yukkuri being fed sugar water or something to help it grow. So I'm guessing yes, some artists decided they can grow up.
The only adult premature yukkuris I've seen are Buris. And I think those are just... different altogether.
Maybe that's what premature yukkuri turn into when they reach adulthood: Buri types.
No, I think Buris are something different. Something special. Unique.
I'm going to assume artist variance with a wall of time. I don't know the timeline, but I think the prematures as we know them came along after we stopped getting clammbon.
What happened there anyway? Did he just disappear?
Well, it's just the one text story, so you can take what you want of it in your mental cannon. I may take a divided mix to allow for both in my mind.
The core looks like an eyeball staring at you. I can no longer unsee it.
I believe this pic post #13324 kinda cemented the design of premature yukkuri; I believe it's the first incarnation of the design, at least on OYP.
post #13816 led a wave of premature yukkuri designs which culminated in the establishment of premature_yukkuri as a tag.
Basic yukkuri lore:When a unborn yukkuri is cut from the stalk That is providing her the necessary nutrients to grown up, the paste core will enter in a state similar to being axfisciated, the core will try to find the nutrients to maintain the koyu alive ; as the paste core failed to found the nutrients it will force himself to consume the nutrients of the koyu, as the koyu is not even fully developed the paste core will forcefully consume the bit of nutrients of the little one a process that will cause the koyu strong pain, the paste core try Soo hard to find nutrients that overload himself Until it reaches a breaking point and explodes causing the death of the koyu..........
