Yeah. Did Reimu do anything here? Doesn't look like it.
I have to keep reminding myself these kos are (assuming no timeskip) only a couple days old, so they're shitting and pissing in the nest is because they can't really move well and not just being lazy.
Marisas are normally the more active gatherers, so I'd have expected Reimu as the more motherly/carer parent in the family to deal with the koyukkuris. To me it seems like one of them did a shit in the middle of the night, which woke up the other two which didn't like it (stinky or whatever) and in reaction pissed themselves...
Maybe the whole thing is 1) Marisa Takes out the Poo-Poo 2) Reimu puts the "Diapers" and comfort the babies
You kinda see Marisa gagging in the background with her tongue still with some Poo-Poo which makes me theorize that the comforting lick-lick comes from mother Reimu instead.
That sounds right to me JusticeItEasy. Reimu's are given a bad reputation because people like to stick to memes when making fanfics. Looking after koyukkuri is a demanding job as koyukkuri are prone to suddenly dieing syndrome.
And what makes it seems worse to me is that Reimu treats her babies like a lot of people I know treat their pets
They consider pets to be cute little toys, but they're very reluctant to properly take of their pets, especially when the pets grow older and stop being cute
either it's just the artistic freedom or the babies are really stupid...i've never seen kos poop in their nest, usually they point the behind over the edge and poop.
"For the babies (Yun Yun?) something happened..." -> General idea is correct, but missing a bit of information.
"The babies cried with a 'yun-yun' during the middle of the night"
よなか=夜中: middle of the night.
"The sound was coming from the voices of the babies (fukitobu)! "
Fukitobu = to be blown away, figuratively. In this case, the object being blown away was ねむけさん, or "mister sleepy-sleepy" for a lack of better words.
So this could be translated to:
"The cries of the babies blew away mister sleepy-sleepy!"
Third:
"Do (get it all out of the nest)!"
This line is talking about the diaper. Pacchi is kinda like a jockstrap/diaper thing. I'm not too sure about this line myself, but it's something like:
"We didn't feel like the koyukkuris needed diapers!"
Lastly:
"For you, babies! Reimu could do it and we did! "
Is more accurate as:
"But... Reimu and Marisa will do anything for the sake of the babies!"
ok, I looked up bacchi and it's baby-speak for poop/shit. Looking closely, it does look more like a dakuten. So I'm not too sure on what that line is supposed to mean now... maybe something about making them feel clean.
It's part of a series of lines that tie all together and don't make sense when read apart.
"They were leaking a lot of pee-pee and poo-poo, but..." "...we don't feel dirty (doing this) at all!" "After all, if it's for the sake of the kids..." "...Reimu and Marisa can do anything!"
6. narr.: "After all, if it's for the sake of the kids..." Reimu: "Yufu!" ko's: "Yuu... yuu..." "Yupii~" Marisa: "Yu-BLERGH!" (vomiting) narr.: "...Reimu and Marisa can do anything!"
