Alright, so you just got your hair ripped out by this guy and suddenly it's all alright because he puts a diaper on you? This is some stupid shit right here.
Its worth noting to everyone that Urushi is a Japanese version of poison ivy. American poison ivy contains the same oil, Urushiol, in a similar concentration. In humans, rashes can be fatal from severe exposure, and can last up to three weeks. My bet is that the ko won't last five minutes.
About the whole poison ivy issue, I'm still baffled that their "skin" can even get a rash, I mean it's made of flour and shouldn't have such a chemical reaction from the oil, let alone having functional nerve receptors to feel the itch... But hey they are magical talking pastries, they believe they can choke without even having any semblance organ akin to lungs. Which I find rather funny.
Hell, the only reason urushiol has the effect it does on skin is because of a forced allergic response from the body's immune system.
(nerd mode ON) The urushiol binds to the walls of the skin cells it comes in contact with. This happens within 15 minutes of exposure. Result: The body no longer recognizes those skin cells as its own, and sends the immune system to destroy the "invading" cells.
A thing like a yukkuri, which has no immune system to speak of, technically shouldn't be affected by urushiol; rather, they should end up as little itch-plague bearers, since that floury skin would soak up the oil (urushiol) veeeery nicely.
But this is a Kiri manga, so the little shit gets an ass rash. (nerd mode OFF)
We learn new things from the places we least expect don't we? Thanks for the explaination Tora. :D But its kinda scary that your own immune system is attacking you...

there was a practice japanese buddhist monks engaged in called 'sokushinbutsu', which was pretty much self-mummification, and i believe they consumed the bark of the urushi tree(as a tea, iirc) at some point during the process in order to render their tissues toxic to decomposers, thus preserving their remains. i believe this happens later in the process, as earlier points are dedicated to stripping as much fat and liquid from the body as possible, with urushi bark tea being used to act as a preservative
